The Downpour
Continued from here
The child hadn’t noticed that there was anyone else around. He is too lost to his woes and fears. Any minute his mama will come home and she will catch him off the porch steps. She will see that his clothes have been ripped. She will be furious for both of these. He is suppose to do as she says and nothing else. Yet here he sits, clearly guilty of disobeying both of those. When he hears someone speak, he flinches, for a moment thinking it is her and he had not heard her. It would be hard to her the clicking of her heels in all this rain. But then the small child realizes this is not the voice of his mother. Very slowly he looks up. There is someone there but all he can see is a figure in a coat. This frightens him a bit. “H-h-hello?” Todd returns so quietly that it would be surprising if the figure heard him. “I-I’m not suppose to talk to strangers. I’m suppose to wait for my mama. But I got stuck…” Todd stands up and moves a little to try to show how he is stuck. Though he stops instantly when he again hears tearing sounds. This leaves Todd looking at the hidden person with a near desperate expression. Again he is breaking rules but he really wants to try to move out of the cold rain. Find a little warmth until his mama got home. Maybe the stranger will be gone before his mama came home. Then he won’t be in any trouble. Then she won’t be mad at him.
Michael stopped as he heard how nervous the child was. He spoke so quietly he could barely hear him over the rain, but he did catch something. He was just waiting for his mom, the poor boy.
“Well...my name is Michael. Now that you know my name I’m not a stranger, right?” He tried to speak softly but he had to raise his voice a bit to be actually heard, he hoped that wasn’t going to scare the boy more. He could really understand how terrified he must be right now.
Michael flinched as the boy moved and he could too hear the tearing sounds. He had to help him out somehow! He couldn’t just be left there, not to mention how small he was. He would probably get hypothermia out here in the cold.
“So, now that we’re not strangers, I can help you.” He said. “I can get your sweater unstuck, and then we can go to wait for your mom somewhere. Okay?”
No Halloween!
open Halloween special starter for Tiny Todd It started with a mistake. That's all it took. Todd had been left in the rec room and given the remote to the tv there. He was told there were many special marathons for 'Halloween'. Todd had no idea what that was. Yes, every year about this time he could hear children outside running about yelling and laughing. If he went to his window he would see them in funny costumes. For the next few nights he would watch for the kids to do this again before he realized they only did this once a year. Todd didn't know why though. So he was excited to learn what this Halloween was and if it was related to to the kids dressing up. The first movie that came up was in fact called Halloween. Todd knew this movie would teach him everything he needed to know about Halloween. It did teach him something alright. He wanted nothing to do with Halloween! Not if it turned kids into killers! Killers that now roam the streets around Halloween! So when he was asked if he wanted to help decorate for Halloween or pick out a costume, Todd needless to say backed away while shaking his head. "N-no Halloween! I don't want it. I don't want to be a part of it!"

New home, New Nightmares
@i-am-the-bamf Today is the day. The small green boy couldn't believe it. He is going to be leaving here and going to a new home! With someone that won't be afraid of him. Someone that is different like him. He had met the man once. For too short of time. The people here set it up like that so Mortimer can't tell the man anything that could get them into trouble though Mortimer didn't know. All he knows is that for someone reason someone wanted to take him home and be his parent. That is more than enough for the small green child as he looks out the window, waiting in the chair he had been instructed to sit in. By his wrapped feet is a small bag of spare clothes they round up as well as his thin blanket and mask. He glances down at his bag with a smile before his eyes go back to the view of the window when he hears someone clearing their throat. the smile is gone when he turns around. Already fear is forming. He knows it is one of the foster parents here. Are they here to tell him that the nice man had changed his mind? That he isn't going to go to his house and live with him?
Then Mortimer sees a child standing between him and the foster parent. A smaller child that is clearly younger than Mortimer himself. A child that is looking down at his feet instead of him. Mortimer quickly pulls up the hood on the oversized hoodie he is wearing. "He will be going with you. Keep an eye on him," the foster parent tells him before handing the smaller child a bag similar to the one handed to him. Then they looked to the window and frowned before hurrying off. Mortimer looks at the boy and opens his mouth to say something before he hears something. He turns and out the window he sees a car. Could that be him? Mortimer looks over his shoulder, smiling once again.
"I think he's here! You want to see him? Have you met him?" Mortimer asks.
The boy shakes his head and walks over, hugging his little bag to his chest. "My name is Mortimer. What is yours?" Mortimer asks. Usually he is too shy to talk to anyone else but his excitement is pushing his shyness aside at the moment. "Todd," the other boy whispers as he watches the car drive up closer.
If a psychic ever asks me why the screaming in my head is so loud the answer is Brotzly.
Brotzly makes me emotionally unstable.
