Tempera had left about an hour ago, but despite not having anyone there with her, she just couldn't get to sleep. Which was why she was glad when there came a knock at the door, followed by Mika immediately entering without waiting for a response.

She smiled but didn't bother trying to sit up. Her entire body felt like her bones had been encased in molasses.

"Hey," she said. "Off work today?"

Mika arrived for her visit with Cadenza before Lily did. Cadenza was still asleep, though, so Tempera was the first to see her.

”It might be an hour or two before she’s ready to face the world,” Tempera said with a smile. “How have you been doing, Mika?”

Oliver stands at the front of the entrance to the writing festival. He already texted his new library friend(?) earlier that morning and is now waiting for him to show. He glances at his watch, his foot tapping on the pavement.

He isn’t feeling impatient or anything. It’s nervousness.

Maybe this was a bad idea. What if he doesn’t show up? What if it is worse if he does?

Oliver could hardly sleep last night and he didn’t understand why. He only met this guy yesterday. But to be fair, it is the first time has been on a date in a long time.

Is this even a date? Maybe it’s a friend date.

He straightens out his shirt-- his favorite just for the occasion. Then he looks up and blushes suddenly.

“Hello.”

“No, I had a productive afternoon, I just don’t want to ever look at those words again, editing is going to be a cold hearted-bitch tomorrow.”

Barely 30 minutes later found Jay pulling in front of Charles’s house and jogging up the stairs to knock on his door. He was right on time just like he assured the other man that he would be. “Are you ready for pizza?” he asked as soon as the door was pulled open. “Because I’m ready for pizza. I’m starving. And I owe you. So pizza...”

Tempera didn't stay too long with Andreas and his old friends. He had accepted an invite to go out with them later, but as far as he was concerned, the first meeting was for them all to do some catching up without too many 'random' people hanging around.

Mika had already been gone from the inn when he woke up that morning, which was surprising considering he'd been up at the time he usually was for work when they were home. As he was just wandering the streets, he finally found what she'd gotten herself into this time: a spar on the street.

Tempera smiled and shook his head, stepping to the side and just watching. He'd go up to her when she was done. If she didn't run off for her next fight before that.
