Baseboard! And no im not doing 45 angles the original builder didnt do that so I wont either.
Im at that weird project stage where its a lot of small things to finalize and finish and its making me spin in circles
Need to:
- finish baseboards
- surrender to the need for quarter round
- go purchase quarter round
- install quarter round
- silicone everything in place
- let the silicone dry
- paint the baseboards and quarter round
- replace outlet caps
- touch up the wall paint
I am back to DIY today but I also made a doctor appointment because I think I need to be back on my anti anxiety medication. Like i went a little over a year doing REALLY WELL, but I have spent the last week just spiraling about the new school year and some changes we are having to implement. To the point its interrupting my sleep and productivity and I can't breathe right. If an email can send me into this, I am probably not managing anymore.
Fingers crossed my PCP just signs the script and makes it easy to start again. I really don't want to have to navigate this particular insurance network to find a specialist. They don't make it easy.

Floor patch took 2.5 days but at last we are level and ready and here I go

Ok as DIY goes im handy but not experienced, so we go through some growth every time.
Floor needed more leveling, it was not within tolerance as originally assessed. Spent today dismantling what id done and applying 2 layers of floor patch to the difficult spots.
Decided not to be angry or bummed, started playing with the cuts and scraps from yesterday. I think? I figured out the locking system. It doesnt slide the way all the manufacturer videos suggest, but it does respond to some mmmmmm lets call it "firm directions". I did hammer the shit out of my pinky while discovering this. But my fear had been damaging the planks, since ALL my scrap is boards with damaged locking. Seemed delicate. Does take an appropriately applied beating.
