"FAREWELL, CRUEL-A WORLD!"  Mario goes on his knees in the vein of a melodramatic Shakespeare play, complete with waterfalls of tears streaming from shut eyes. An imaginary spotlight shines upon our hero as he longingly gazes at the Poisonous Mushroom clenched in his opposing hand. Swallowing the lump in his throat, the plumber slowly moves the fungus to his choppers and then swiftly gobbles it down, thereby sealing his fate. He began to gag and choke, falling over dead.

Cue the violin section playing a somber version of the infamous jingle played when losing Super Mario Bros.

It was Game Over for good, no continues.

"Just-a breathe."

"Don’t tell me what to do!" Of course he was embarrassed that his mortal enemy was telling him to breathe and calm down. With the weight of his once-trusty Koopa Kopter now bearing down on him, sounding as if it were ready to explode, he found himself panicking for his life. It had been built to fly his gigantic size through the air, and thus was much heavier than himself—a wonder of engineering it was that the contraption flew at all; so when it malfunctioned and sent operator and all tumbling to the earth, he’d been caught unawares and quite terrified. Now, it had buried the spikes of his shell into the ground, thus pinning him under its now cracked and burning chassis.

By technicality, Bowser was Mario’s enemy— his archenemy at that. The longtime rivals had gone at it for years now; whether it be for the fate of the Kingdom or the fate of the Princess. Mario personally could never bring himself to hate anyone, even Bowser. Sure, the tyrannical turtle was a menace of equal amount to his gigantic size, but there were times that friend and foe assisted one another. This was just one of those times.

"BOWSER!"   Mario shouted the sovereign’s name, dashing to the smoldering wreckage of the cup-shaped craft. Coughs escaped Mario’s mouth as he leaned in to survey the damage. Oh, poor Bowser.. if only he’d listened and stopped being so hasty for once this wouldn’t have happened! With his gloved hands, Mario picked away parts of the derelict vehicle in an attempt to save the life of his worst enemy.

Emotion overcame Bowser as he lay buried under the rubble. Most of them were unpleasant. Of course he didn’t want to accept help from Mario, but what choice had he? In his current position, he could do little to help himself, that much was certain. He tried thrashing his tail, but that action only brought a searing pain up through the appendage and into his legs.

"Gargh! I think … my tail’s broken." Obvious in his small voice was the frustration he felt, admitting his helplessness to the plumber.

The plumber was relieved to hear a sign from the turtle, wiping the sweat from his brow. Good thing Bowser wasn't hurt too badly, aside from his tail being broken.

"Good, you're OK! Now just-a hold still and I'm-a get you out.. you only hurting yourself with all a that thrashing about, ya know." Wreckage nearly cleared from the tyrant-in-distress's massive body, Mario grabbed hold of one of his fingers by the nail and pulled with every ounce of might to pluck Bowser from the ground.

Hugs "oh I'm so happy to be back."

Returns the hug. “And I’m-a so happy you’re back, Lighty!” He threw his arms around the Yoshi’s lengthy neck and embraced him tightly. “Where were ya? I thought something terrible happened to you, you didn’t even send a single postcard!”

"Heh. Funny thing! I was actually bowser for like a day, that’s kinda why. But now I’m all better!"

"Oh yeah, that’s-a right, I remember! How was it bein’ inside his-a body, hm? I know I’ve-a been inside before.. but not in the kinda way you were!" Of course, Mario was referring to the incident where he and Luigi ended up in the Koopa King’s gullet.

"Haha! Well it wasn’t too bad. But I see why bowser likes to be top. He’s very large and strong. Though I was kinda annoyed at how strong he is for other certain things to, when it came to urges.."

"Urges? Ya mean you felt like going over to kidnap the Princess?"

"You look a little lost. Do you need directions?"

Having been wandering all day through Termina Field with not a single idea of where he was at— aside from that the looming moon gazing down hatefully at those below gave him the creeps— Mario was relieved to see someone who seemed to know what he was doing, a familiar face at that.

"Hey, Link! It’s-a good to see you here!" The plumber pinched his chin and raised a brow, motioning to the vast landscape that lay before the two. "I’m-a guessin’ this is where you’re from? I could use a bit of help gettin’ around.. you got a map or-a something?"

{ ♘ } - Link was walking around in Termina field, enjoying the fresh air and the warm sunlight. His chest slow rose as his lungs took in the fresh, clean air around. A gently breeze whisked by and blew through his blonde locks. He stretched his body, letting out a loud yawn as he did. He continued walking around until a voice called out for him and it sounded very familiar to him.

He turned around and saw the small figure running towards him. Link smiled, it was Mario. The young Hylian ran over to greet the happy Italian he hadn’t seen in a long while. “Hey there, Mario!” He exclaimed. Then he shook his head. “No, I’m from this land in particular, I’m from Hyurle. This land, Termina is Hyrule’s parallel. And I indeed do have a map. How did you even get anyway?”

"Eh, call it a wrong turn at pipe avenue. It’s-a been happening a lot lately." He replied with a shrug, digging his foot into the ground. "So it looks-a like we’re both in this-a strange place, but good thing you got yourself a map! It must-a be pretty big to cover this-a whole area!” Mario regained composure and looked about. “If it’s-a not interrupting you, maybe I could go find a place-a to stop and eat, take a rest? By the looks of it, you’ve-a been wanderin’ around quite a bit too, huh?” He stifled a chuckle, gazing down and the youth’s earth-stained tunic. Funny how in the midst of the conversation, Mario hardly noticed the moon drawing ever closer to making landfall. It was much like a background prop at the moment.

{ ♘ } - He grabbed the fabric of his tunic, gently stretching it to inspect to see if there was dirt on it like Mario claimed. The plumber was correct to Link’s surprise and let out a small chuckling of embarrassment “Yeah, I guess I have been wandering around too much.”

He took out his map and began to study it. Link had forgotten some of the names of the shops in Clock Town. “Here we go.” He said. “There’s a bar in town that serves excellent milk and across from that is an inn called the Stock Pot Inn. We can get a drink first, then head over to the inn and get a hot meal and some rest. And lucky for you I have reservation for one of the rooms there.” He still never understood how or why he had the reservation in the first place but he decided not to question that.

Mario's hues followed Link's gaze to his tunic, himself stifling a giggle or two. "Eh, that's-a not bad, I like to wander around myself too!" He patted his stomach. "It helps-a me lose the pounds a bit without goin' on a diet or anything. Plus, I like-a to see lotsa different things, it's-a what life's all about!"

He scooted next to the Hylian boy and locked sights onto the wrinkled map, nodding affirmatively at Link's schedule he seemingly had planned out. Clock Town. Sounded like a place with too many watch shops to the average foreigner. Speaking of clocks-- and time, these two heroes better get scooting off to that little town before that scary looking moon up there crashes down upon everything! 

"Okie-dokie! That sounds-a good! I was gettin' a bit thirsty anyway.." The plumber fixed his cap and looked onwards to the walled town. "Now them.. let's-a go!" Mario declared and threw his fist into the air.

Was this person familiar with where he was? Admittedly, he was completely lost… But, Gon was always particularly fond of exploring. “Mm, I don’t need any! It’d be more fun to explore first.”

"Hee hee, I like-a the way you think, kid!" He smiled and rubbed a finger underneath his bulbous nose. An adventurer himself, Mario was quite fond of exploring-- as long as there was a big plate of spaghetti he got out of it. "Say, mind if I join ya?"

"I don’t know a single person here…" [BECAUSE WHY NOT]

"Hm.. well, my name’s-a Mario." He gestured to himself, smiling. "So ya know one person here already! How’s about I take ya on de grand tour of Toad Town so you can meet lotsa people?”

"Toad Town? Never heard of it. What’re we waitin’ for then, Mario, let’s go! I’m Luffy, by the way, nice t’meet you!" He shoots the plumber an amiable grin, full of sharp teeth as it may have been.

He’d been wandering around the Mushroom Kingdom for quite some time now, so the prospect of a tour guide and an armful of new friends very much appealed to the young outlaw.

"Nice-a to meet you, Luffy!" He stepped alongside the slithering, aspiring Pirate King and began to guide him in the direction of Toad Town. "So where do you come from, hm?" Mario paid little to no attention to Luffy’s serpentine bottom half, he’d honestly seen much weirder in his travels about the Mushroom Kingdom and surrounding areas.

Following close(a rare occurrence, but Mario’s chipper attitude drew him in like a magnet), Luffy surrenders a chuckle at the question. “I’m from Fuchsia, but I’ve spent the past two and a half years on the Grand Line. It’s a lot different than here. I’ve never seen so many ‘shrooms in one spot.”

Of course, after that little fiasco on Amazon Lily, he’d been turned off wild mushrooms, and left them well enough alone.

“De Grand Line? What, you mean the Equator? It’s-a no wonder you’ve-a got such a tan, paisano!” He remarked at the youth’s appearance. Sunset was drawing nearer, UV rays beamed down on the duo’s current location, causing Mario to squint his eyes and flinch. But the good news was, the main gates to Toad Town were just ahead. 

A gloved hand gesticulated to the rows of speckled, eyed fungi. "Well there's a reason why this place is-a called The Mushroom Kingdom!"

"You look a little lost. Do you need directions?"

Having been wandering all day through Termina Field with not a single idea of where he was at— aside from that the looming moon gazing down hatefully at those below gave him the creeps— Mario was relieved to see someone who seemed to know what he was doing, a familiar face at that.

"Hey, Link! It’s-a good to see you here!" The plumber pinched his chin and raised a brow, motioning to the vast landscape that lay before the two. "I’m-a guessin’ this is where you’re from? I could use a bit of help gettin’ around.. you got a map or-a something?"

Mario’s cheeks and bulbous nose tinted a bright red. The fact was obvious of their romantic love to anyone who was a friend of Mario’s the Princess, or just someone who happened to listen to a lot of the gossip brought forth by tabloids like The Mushroom Inquirer. "W-Why are you bringing this up? Aren’t you a bit eh… young for this-a kinda talk?"

Mun Mystery

A true mystery. Okay, not to sound like those old cartoons. So, I have been overseeing what has been going on, y’know, with itsamariotime and all. BEFORE you even say ANYTHING, let me just say that I got his side of the story, and I’ve been seeing all the PSAs going about. After reading this, you may still unfollow him, unfollow me, or do whatever. But just listen as I tell. I will tell itsamariotime’s side first.

He says that Milk has backstabbed him twice, and luweege was his canon Luigi (Milk’s blog). They were friends before that blog came along, then stopped that friendship after Milk ignoring him from meromerokissu. After luweege, they became friends again, but when he shut down his blog, player-uno was made by Milk, making itsamariotime feel like it was a replacement for him. He states that Milk might have bended the truth to make others turn against him, which led to the comments he made (which, I agree, is uncalled for). Although that has happened, he even ADMITTED to me that he doesn’t care about being the best Mario anymore, AND he states that Milk is an amazing writer but he ‘wishes it didn’t have to be this way’. He also says that magnanimousmonarch and kingkroolsall have been hearing what Milk has been saying, and Milk sending messages, etc.

Now, everyone else. I WILL say that I appreciate Milk’s trying not to start drama (y’know, when stating that before posting what itsamariotime said), and I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes here. I’m glad that magnanimousmonarch gave people the option of sticking up for itsamariotime (because, really, what’s the use of pulling friends from people by force?). So, everyone thinks that they should stay away from itsamariotime because of the messages and all.

Guys, two things. First of all, we didn’t even ask, let alone let itsamariotime speak his side, and secondly, NO ONE is the bad guy here (both mun AND muse. Badum-tish). Both people did something wrong, both people (I hope) feel sorry about what they did. I’m not guilt-tripping anyone. This is a COMPLETELY NEUTRAL post. I’d rather not pick sides.

So, as a friend told me in an RP: “No one is purely good, but no one is purely evil.” Quote of the day right there. Thanks to those who took their time reading this, and I hope you guys have a good rest-of-your-day.
