Idk my dad gives me $50 for my birthday each year, doesn't give a shit about any of my interests, could afford to do things like pay my way through college or get me braces or, idk, even let me use our insurance when I go to the doctor (he doesn't)...I've had to work through my college career and haven't had his help in travelling, paying for my cat, etc. I'd shit myself into a coma if my dad even put a surprise $20 in my bank account for a motel in my home town

Like, I’m sorry your dad is that way, but it is way different from my problem? People’s parents are shit, but that’s not my fault. My problem is, my dad suggested somewhere in the guise of being nice while I was trying to keep a budget, then blew it out of the water. So now I’ll be broke in a foreign country. Trust me though, if it wasn’t court ordered that he had to pay my or my sister’s way through college, he would have gone to card sending on birthdays only status a long time ago, I think. But again, your problem is shitty for you, but mine is shitty to me as well. This isn’t the suffer olympics. I can post on my blog as I wish.
