So, this whole recent kick of fugi-making started with me getting inspired by the KoG announcement animation to try making a vintage cartoon/UPA-style inspired fugi of Teaset. It was a lot of fun trying to simplify the shapes and details!
From there, I had the bug. I loosened up, allowing myself to develop a style that worked for me with less focus on adherence to historical accuracy. Just having fun adapting the designs of friends and streamers I watch.
