Hey there! So I've been absorbing all the new Mainlanders stuff and was wondering about a couple things? Like, do the Royals ever show any interest in/have opinions of Rabbits? And if they hypothetically wanted to go to the island - could they push past whatever makes others pass out - or is their inherit nature of being why they couldn't? Also: do any of the non-royal Mainlanders have any inkling of the Royals true nature? Ahaha sorry for the question spam I just find all of this fascinating.
no prob no prob.
1.the Royals have complicated feelings about rabbits. on the one hand, they’re pretty much walking scenery. and like everything else that's scenery they think they’re pretty cute and also somehow belong to them. but like, in the way that they ignore them most of the time. on the other hand rabbits are a fucking trip. why are they so hard to assimilate? why so much magic? how do they resist most thralls? and the death! as things that don’t die, the rabbit relationship with death is a weird mix of comfort/terrifying reminder that they’re not really mortal.
in short: when they remember that they exist, they’re fascinated/scared of them. like creepy touchy feely fascinated/scared.
2.they’ve never tried to go to the island because its something a mortal wouldn’t be able to do. they might not make it if the tried though. it might do more than make them pass out. it depends on...things.
3.non-Royals think that the Royals are both mortals used as vessels for the literal force of life and nature. no one has figured out the truth because to do that you’d have to get close to them and getting close to them means that those fae glamor pheromones hit you like a truck.
Hey there! Hope you're well. We haven't spoken for a while but I was wondering if you'd be okay with me using your fanart you did a while ago as a 'guest art' piece for one of this week's updates? I'd be honored and you'd or course be credited.
Hey, I have no idea when this got sent to me (tumblr hasn’t shown me having anything in my inbox), but yeah. I’m cool with that! Go ahead.
Uh, started reading a webcomic called Further by @tinytelephones, and I really like it lol I have no idea where the story is going, beyond these two dorks becoming pals n attending school together. But yeah, I recommend it...Here’s some really random fanart
Happy Birthday Ama! Hope its a bucketload of fun!
Thanks so much, I’m hoping it’s that much fun too, haha! <3
The heater is fine as far as temps go; but I did shuffle him down a bit further away from the glass door so he's got a little less light near him.
Hmm. Well that's all I can think of for now that could cause him stress. Just keep an eye on him and make sure he's eating.
Yeah I did some more research after I left that ask and it is definitely stress stripes. I'm sorry for spamming you, but would it be okay if I sent a pic of his tank? I'm at a complete loss at what it could be causing him panic.
Oh absolutely, always feel free to submit things to me!
Thanks for the advice; I don't currently have lights on him (I just have silk plants atm) but since he doesn't seem to like his current hiding place ( a very smooth cup) I'll see if I can find something better for him/more fake plants this weekend. A think I noticed tho is that the lines shine blue in the light - he's a brown betta with orange fin with black tips and blue sheen in his fins in the light. The lines are very stripey tho.
Hmmm. Are the lines horizontal? (starting at his head and ending at his tail) If they are, those are stress stripes! They can be caused by a lot of different things, not all of them a certain cause of illness, but still something to be wary of.
