Hey everyone, sorry for not posting so much at the moment but I don’t really find the motivation for new aesthetics. So instead I thought about doing a rec of Gallavich fics. These fics are for you if you just start reading Gallavich fic. They are classics, and even if they are all really famous among Gallavich shippers (well more or less) I hope that you’ll discover a new one.
I read a lot of Gallavich fanfics but these are my favourites. If you have any suggestion of other fics just leave a comment, I’d love to discover new ones. I’m not a really big fan of ABO but I could die for a Soulmates AU (I think I’ve read all the Gallavich Soulmates AU). I’m so bad at summarising but I did my best. Every fanfic in this list is a masterpiece.
Canon Divergence / Alternate Universe
Mickey and his brothers are charged by his father to kidnap Ian because Frank awes Terry money. But nothing happens as expected.
─ I love it. One of the first Gallavich fics I’ve read and after all this time it’s still one of my favourites.
At the end of 1x12, Tony didn’t managed to get Ian and Lip out of troubles. While Lip is forced to do community service hours, Ian is sent to Juvie.
─ I don’t know why no one is talking about this fic (actually I do, it’s because everyone is living for the smut and there isn’t many of it in this fic) but it’s so good! I found it really beatiful, every sentence is so well written it’s amazing. A little piece of art.
► First Day Of My Life (70K)
Post season 7 AU. Mickey is in fact a DEA agent and comes back to chicago after a few months in Mexico.
─ This is the season 8 we deserved!
► Teenagers Scare The Living Shit Out Of Me (212K)
Serial killer AU. Ian discovers a body in an alley and calls Mickey to help him. But someone is watching Ian, someone who seems capable of terrible things.
─ I’m a really big fan of detective stories so I could only love this fic. It is realy good!
► The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Ian Gallagher (310K)
Mob AU. The Milkovich family is part of the Italian mafia and Ian, student by day-striper by night, is dating Mickey’s boss, Sal. At least before he met Mickey.
─ Best Gallavich fic ever! I’ve already read it 4 times and I will do it over again.
► Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (161K)
Ian is the creator of a famous videogames and Mickey’s boss.
─ Yes it’s the same author than tipdig but she’s my queen! This one is also so good, it’s so funny and fluffy.
Mickey and Ian are construction workers and they met on a home restoration job.
─ I just love this fic so much.
► The Halfway House (30K)
Monica took of when Ian was nine. At ten years old he ends up in foster care and meets a young boy, Mickey.
─ I cried a thousand times.
► Is There Somewhere (49K)
In a world where everyone has their soulmates first words to them tattoo on their hip, Mickey is born without words. One day he met Ian, a mute boy.
─ This fic is so pure. 50K of perfection.
On your 17th anniversary, you discover the name of your soulmate tattoo on your skin. Ian is 17th today.
─ Just read it. The pov is really surprising but it’s one of the best soulmates AU I’ve ever read.
