The Easter Triduum

We recently celebrated Good Friday. For many of us, this day is extremely difficult. It clearly hurts us all that Jesus, the man whom we trust and love the most, had to suffer and die in such a brutal way. We can especially see this ultimate sacrifice in the unforgettable movie, The Passion of Christ; it depicts His Passion in such a true and meaningful way. Most would question themselves and think, why would anyone ever want to do this to Jesus? However every time that we sin, whether that sin be big or small, when our flesh becomes weakened, we do this to Jesus. We trade Him in just like Judas did, for 30 pieces of silver. What are your pieces of silver that you received from trading in Jesus? Don’t forget this… We must try to accept the crucifixion for what it has and still is giving us. Yet, now we must look towards the resurrection and the new life that God has given us. This is the day that The Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
