If you’re going to go out during this insane time, do it safely, responsibly, don’t be rude and tip your fucking servers!!!! (a lot, and consider keeping up this practice in the future!) My mom is the hardest working woman ever. Yes she is. Anyone who knows her knows how well she does her job and the place where she works is a restaurant as a server, aka a #waitress . Not many people know or care but servers are paid about $2 and hour. THEY NEED TIPS TO SURVIVE!!! The place where my mom happens to work makes you have to cash out and pay the bartender and the busboy because the restaurant refuses to pay their employees. Yes you heard right, MY MOM THE WAITRESS HAS TO PAY THE OTHER EMPLOYEES WITH HER TIPS! How fair is that?! It’s messed up! Now a bunch of broke people who are getting gift cards for restaurants are going there, running my mom and other servers like crazy and they don’t tip them at all. My mom worked a 5 hour shift with no money to her name. This is an ongoing issue that no one wants to talk about but it needs to be said! As a child of a waitress, I’m pissed that my mom gets treated like crap by other people. So spread this post around. Put restaurants on blast! Or if you don’t have money to eat out (including tipping) then don’t eat out at all!
