I sent you an ask earlier about the autism thing, but I just saw your recent post where you try to tell someone about the myths? And I don't know which Hellenic polytheists you've talked to, but you definitely don't understand the first thing about the myths. And frankly saying stuff like "Zeus was a rapist" or buying into the whole Haides and Persephone stereotype of "it was Stockholm Syndrome" is offensive. Obviously that's the common view in our society, but it still pisses me off.
Frankly we don’t care what “pisses you off.” We aren’t here to please you. If it’s a common view of society, we’re going to present it that way, as we did. We apologize if it offends you, but a lot of things in life are offensive. Feel free to give us your view on the mythology behind it and we'll read it and appreciate it.
Zeus was a man-whore. Straight up, there’s no getting around it. I mean, look at the guy. We’re only relaying what the information at hand is. And as for “not understanding the first thing about the myths,” well, that’s your prerogative but many of the other Hellenic polytheists that follow us (which is actually a lot, surprisingly) have informed us that everything we’re doing is proper and conveyed well, so feel free to inform us as to what’s wrong with what we’re saying and we’ll edit it or change it as we feel necessary, but you’re not going to come here and intimidate us or affect us by saying you’re pissed off about a societal view of a Greek myth.
1. RE: your disclaimer, paeganist isn't a word. 2. I'm autistic and absolutely despise Autism Speaks. Yeah like 3% of all the money they raise goes towards "helping". Some goes to (mostly) ABA therapy, which is basically training children that they can never say no, and the rest goes to stuff like grief counseling for parents. So they spend the majority of the money on eugenics & parents, instead of helping the actual autistic people. Every soul is divine; the Gods aren't trying to eliminate us.
1. Paganist is. We added the e because some people preferred it when we spoke to them about it.
2. I'm not autistic and despise Autism Speaks, so we're on the same page. That's what I've heard, everything that you mentioned up there. Followers, keep all of this in mind the next time you try to donate to a site or organization that sends its funds to Autism Speaks.

Also, I encourage you to read John Elder Robison's resignation letter. He was the only autistic person among AS's leadership, and he quit because they suck. One thing he mentioned was how AS is one of the only charities that is hated by the community they claim to support. If that doesn't say something important, then you clearly aren't actually interested in supporting autistic people.
I think that says a lot about the organization as a whole.
And as for us not being interested in supporting autistic people, I don't have a clue where you ever got that from. None of us on this blog have ever said that, and we never would.

A brown & yellow basket...Adore!
mint-meal
I noticed a woman this morning eating orange tic-tacs like they were food. It resonated with me because I remember having to learn that they (the orange ones) were not (and being disappointed). I stopped buying them after that, because who wants just one or two tic-tacs? And who thinks the orange ones are really "mints"? People should be able to eat what they want. And there's probably too much shame around eating in our society. Still, it's troubling to see a grown woman abusing tic-tacs like that in public.
