OK the titan consumed novel is pretty interesting. Thanos’s friend one day took him to a club where he met a girl that left a big impact on him because she kissed him. This is very funny 😂 Like all he wanted was a sense of belonging and this girl gave him that instead of being afraid of him or hating him (what most people on titan did because of his deviant genes and his skin color purple, which was a symbol of death on titan). And later when he came to Gamora’s planet, when she touched his hand, he felt warm. For decades people who touched him were trying to kill him, but gamora was not. It seems to me that thanos wanted to be loved. He wanted a sense of belonging and trust. This is pretty interesting. He wasn’t arrogant (at least in his early years despite being the most intelligent one on titan). He was just a kid discriminated and isolated by his people. It strikes me his mind and will is so strong in infinity war.
Titan Consumed: GAMORA AND NEBULA
Sixth post about MCU official Thanos novel (with spoilers). This annex is about Thanos, Gamora and Nebula, in my opinion the most interesting part of the book.
Titan Consumed Part 4: SOUL
Fourth post about MCU official Thanos novel (with spoilers)
With the Chitauri army Thanos starts to massacre as many planets in collapsing risk as he can, but in the end this isn’t enough to reach his goal. During this chapter Thanos adopts Gamora and Nebula, but I will not write about this now because it deserves its own entry.
Titan Consumed Part 2: SPACE
Second post about MCU official Thanos novel (with spoilers)
The second part of the novel is about Thanos’s first months as an exiled. This is a part for first times: first time actually saving lives, first time taking them, and first time been close to death.
Titan Consumed Part 5: POWER
Fifth post about MCU official Thanos novel (with spoilers) and the last one resuming the book.
Thanos and the girls reach the moon where Lorespeaker lives, and Thanos goes down to meet him. The Lorespeaker is an hermit, who went away of population because his “cosmic awareness” that let him to keep and remember all information known or spoked by people in a radius of some parsecs from there. He possess an estrange sceptre and lives with some old technology.
MCU Thanos backstory: “Titan consumed”
As I haven’t see much info about the official Marvel novel about Thanos past, I think that may be interesting write about it. Even it is a non-canonical story, the events fits perfectly with Infinity War, so the author by sure got the script and some indications from Marvel in order to write it. In my opinion is a good backstory and the only reason to not make it canon is for the sake of future movies that may will have contradictory elements with it.
The book is a pretty light novel and I think some parts or ideas could be more developed. But for a general idea, is perfect. So I’m going to resume it and comment about some interesting points. As the book is divided in six parts, each of them named after an Infinity Stone, I’m going to do six entries.
First part is “REALITY”, and I’ll post it as soon as I can.
If you have any question about it, feel free to ask :)
Titan Consumed Part 1: REALITY
Here is the first post about MCU official Thanos novel (with spoilers)
This part is about Thanos’ life in Titan. His mother, Sui-San, disappeared from his life after his birth. Thanos lives with his father, A’Lars, High Mentor of Titan. A’lars is a distant and cold father, that rarely praises the incredibly intellect of his son, but at the same time is obvious that this quality is the only thing he likes of him.
