Mason's Journal #2

Entry Date: The 19th of December, 2014.

And even if I could list you all that happened, or what I heard that happened, during the battle of Paris. But since I wasn't present, or that I will probably never forget what happened, nor will I read this ever again it won't be necessary.

What interests me even more than the damn Dominion of Magic gaining power is what is happening in this country. The tension still exists. No matter what the next move is that the alliance is going to take, they did the worst possible. It feels like this is only going to end up in a war between Purebloods, other wizards and magical creatures.

And about those countries supporting the Dominion of Magic publically. I always knew from my travels that countries like Egypt or Bulgaria weren't to be trusted. I'm pretty sure. Being there always felt wrong.

But I keep my eyes close on the ministry. While at the same time the resession is hitting hard, they are only focusing on the Dominion of Magic. And while I still think that it is important to see if there are ways to get rid of those wizards forever even I doubt if that is a good idea.

But what am I going to do with my show. Of course I'll continue to tell the world about everything the Dominion of Magic does but I just wish there was a way to prevent the Dominion of Magic from really ruining this country.

I feel like I can only wait and hope.

Mason's Journal #1

Entry date: The first of November 2014. 

Notes: Mason writes about the protests in Diagon Alley and wonders if i would be a good idea to bring this up on his show. 

But the trend I've been noticing goes even further than Just the Wizard Alliance. The ministry is expecting the Wizard Alliance to attack any day and we all know it, but maybe deep down they have this plan? Maybe somewhere in their corrupted brains the commotion in this country is all they are asking for. And sometimes I recall a conversation I had shortly after the massacre at the Library, where Henry Clarington told me that people are driven by fear. Maybe the Wizard Alliance has figured that out as well.

Look at what happened in Diagon Alley, the purebloods in this country, officially not affiliated with the Wizard Alliance make remarks about the disfunctionality of the ministry, while at the same time muggleborns and other wizards finally start to stand up against the Wizard Alliance. And while I couldn't even think that this would happen a couple of months ago, this dream is slowly turning into a nightmare. Not only are they speaking out against the Wizard Alliance, they are also attacking purebloods in general. Protests with muggleborns and protest with purebloods meet once in a while and those encounters never end good.

If only my dad was still alive, he knew what I should do. Quiet my anti Wizard Alliance rage for a little while and bring this subject up, risking even more angry howlers, while I sometimes already risk getting put of television. Or leave the subject alone for a while, maybe waiting for a while. Honestly, I'm a little lost, but just in a couple of hours I'm on air having to pretend to know exactly what I am doing. Would any of these decisions even be a good idea?
