Twinning #kibbutzlife #nahalherod #tiyul (at Beit Shean)
just got back from tiyul hanukah (well we got back last night but i was so tired and went to bed really soon after getting back). it was okay - not nearly as hard as i expected and i talked to nissim for a while and got to do a bunch of secret santa things. the views were beautiful and all that but frankly, i think i am just in the tiyulim for the potential bonding and strength endurance aspects. I was pretty sick on this trip (the past two weeks since hooking up with rafa - did i mention that- it's hurt to swallow and my tonsils have been swollen. i started coughing deeply a few days ago and it hurts) which wasn't the best.
today was so nice. had zk for the first time in a while.missed that kind of thing and we wrote down goals for communa. had a really nice lunch just now and the italians are being really helpful. i am going to listen to the finale of serial (!) and go to the post office and then make dinner. i love communa.
Home sweet home...
And so comes a saga to its end. Ploni and his evil sidekick Shmarya have returned home. Home to the ancient capital of the legendary King David Ben Yishai. While this chapter might be over, there will undoubtedly be many more. So stay tuned...
City of Big Ben.... Nistar
London! But... unfortunately due to circumstances -and lack of time- we forgot our cameras. >.> We'll only stay a day before we go back to Antwerp/Holland again. Tuesday (rosh chodesh) we'll be leaving for East again (no, not EY yet).
Ploni & Shmarya in the fish store...
Ha! We just bought fish in a fishstore! You should've seen the look on the people's faces! I think that while we were inside their eyes were even bigger than that of any fish they were selling over there. xD
Bli neder pics of our bucherishe fishy fishcooking will come later iy'h.
Ukraine...
Why is it that almost no born Ukranian speaks a decent English? And when they answer our questions (asked in English) they answer them in Ukrainian and expect us to understand them... Even those at the airport hardly speak it. Bennistar: *asks question* Airport lady: *stares* Bennistar: *repeats question* Airport lady: *looks at Bennistar as if she'd seen a ghost... Bennistar: ... Airport lady: *shrugs her shoulders epically slow* Bennistar: "So... who can I ask who does know?" Airport lady: *silence* .... points at the arrival hall. "Big hall. In big hall." Bennistar: "... ok... thank you...." *turns to friend "... I guess..."
*Sometime later* Friend: "Do we have to check in again since we already have a boarding pass?" *Shows boarding pass* Airport Information Guy: "Where are you traveling to?" Bennistar: "Vienna." AIG: "Vienna... that is... 4.30..." Friend & Bennistar: "Yes, we know.." AIG: ... Friend: "But do we have to check in again.. wait in the line?" AIG: "Yes Vienna is 4.30. Is a little bit early now. 4.30 is Vienna." Bennistar looks at friend: ... Friend: ... AIG: ... Bennistar: "So... we do have to check in again?" AIG: Vienna 4.30. Early now. Wait half an hour I think." Bennistar & friend: "uh.. okay. Thanks..."
Really, how do they even allow these people to work at an international airport?
