Seeing this episode as a kid changed my brain chemistry.

I can trace a straight line from "whatever the hell is wrong with me now today" back to seeing this episode when I was young.

Does anyone know a reason for why Takeru is in the Dark Ocean.

Like I know that Digimon Adventure Beyond is just a bunch of loose story threads and snippets of adventures that we might not see but still.

In this scene, he looks so content. He wasn’t scared he was calm. For being in a place of pure darkness that has not been kind to him or his friends.

Hikari and Ken aren't even in the Dark Ocean. They're both fine, so what reason would Takeru have to go here? Not exactly a nice vacation spot.

I don't know. I guess I just want to hear your head canons on why he's there.

Mine is that since Takeru went actively looking for Hikari and didn't get pulled into the Dark Ocean like Miyako that he became a part of it.

The Dark Ocean wants Hikari and maybe even Ken, but since Takeru mettled in it the Dark Ocean now wants him too.

That's just what I think, will probably write a fic about it, but I'd glad to hear what you think!

P.S, I loved Digimon Adventure Beyond! It was amazing. I'm going to watch it like a hundred more times.
