Series Playlist

Part I

Nico and Lena have been friends ever since he played in Halifax. When an opportunity of a lifetime brings Lena to New York, Nico offers up his apartment as her home base despite the fact that he’s been painfully, desperately in love with her for the last six years.

Part II*

When Nico agreed to pose for Lena as her nude model, he never expected how difficult it would be, or where the night would take them. 

Part II.5 - We Told You So

Nico’s siblings check in after his portraiture sitting with Lena. Fully expecting to have to patch their moony little brother back together, they get quite the surprise to find that Nico actually shared his feelings. And (shocker) they were right all along — a fact they won’t let him forget anytime soon.

Part III*

Though they’ve finally confessed their feelings for one another, a 7 day road trip stands between Nico and Lena finally beginning their relationship. When Lena sends a photo of herself Nico never expected to receive, it springboards them into new territory. Upon arriving home, he and Lena are finally able to be together in ways they’ve only dreamed of. 

Part III.75*

Part IV

Nico and some of his teammates attend Lena’s gallery show. They see the nude drawings that brought Nico & Lena together and Nico's teammates tease them both about them. Also, Lena sticks up for what she wants.

Part V: Can I make it up to you?*

When Lena is hit on at a Devils event and Nico responds by staking his claim rather than checking in to make sure she's okay, she’s understandably pissed. Though their ensuing fight is resolved, Nico still wants to make it up to her. 

Teenage Dream*

Getting home from a rough practice and finding Lena in the tub, Nico is suddenly reminded of one of his teenage fantasies about her. The chance to bring it to fruition is an opportunity he can’t turn down. By the end of the night, more than one teenage dream is brought to life.

Part VI: Welcome Home*

Lena welcomes Nico home from a road trip in a way he's only dreamed of.

Part VII: Will You Stay?

After their brutal, final elimination game against the Canes, Nico comes home to find Lena awake and waiting for him.

Some Sleepy Boy Inc. Headcanons because I feel like it.

Philza

- Technically, Phil’s still human. The wings and extended lifespan were a gift from the gods after his endeavors in hardcore caught their eye. This is how Wilbur (and potentially Tommy) are still human.

- He still however, does have some birdlike traits in the form of frequent whistling and a penchant for shiny things.

- One wing is more shredded than the other. He overlapped them when protecting Wilbur from the blast of the tnt.

- Wilbur isn’t the first child Philza has outlived. He is however, the first Phil cut down himself.

- He can’t identify every single member of the murder that follows him around, but he can identify frequent visitors by their appearance and or certain trinkets they give him.

Technoblade

- He has multiple copies of the Art of War, due to the fact that multiple people have annotated the novel. He likes comparing the annotations and seeing what conclusions people have drawn from the text. Techno’s absolute favorite copy however, is a reprint of the original which is of course, in Chinese.

- The crown was taken from the first monarch unfortunate enough to earn Techno’s ire. He thought it made for an ironic trophy. He has other trophies, but the crown is his favorite.

- Techno has a very subtle vocal stim and only Philza knows about it. When happy or otherwise amused, Techno does a pig snort. He's actually a little embarrassed about it but Philza doesn't think anything of it. The ‘heh?’ is another vocal stim, but he’s not as self conscious about it.

- Do not refer to him as ‘Uncle Techno’. He will get misty eyed and try to pass it off as allergies.

- He’s so used to hearing the voices that if they were somehow removed, Techno would have a very hard time functioning due to being unable to handle the sudden silence.

Wilbur Soot

- Knows how to read music along a little music composition skill. There’s a few bits of sheet music tucked away in hidden corners in Pogtopia.

- Would say he didn’t know Fundy’s dead name, but whether or not he was telling the truth is a question for the ages.

- Gave Tommy a copy of his ‘pogtopia’ coat in hopes the boy would come around to ‘being the bad guys’. Niki was another recipient of a copy of the coat.

- During his spiral, Wilbur would swing back and forth between his deteriorating mental state and an odd sort of self awareness. He’d become aware of how far he was falling. Unfortunately, between the sunk cost fallacy and knowing there was no way of backing out, Wilbur went ahead with his plans.

- Favored alcoholic drink during exile was vodka. It was easy to hide in different drinks.

Tommyinnit

- There’s one portion of the Prime Path he trips up on no matter how many times he’s tried to remember it’s there.

- His copy of Wilbur’s coat was worn during his second exile. Tommy swapped it out for something warmer during his time with Technoblade. Currently, it lies in his ender chest right alongside his L’manberg uniform. He hopes he never has to wear either again.

- Starting during the second exile, Tommy feels constantly cold. Some of his trips to the nether were simply to try and warm up next to the lava. Not even being revived by Dream seems to have gotten it to stop. Depression be like that.

- Doesn’t completely understand beekeeping, but bringing it up gets Tubbo to lighten up like nothing else, so it’s worth it.

- After having tnt repeatedly detonated right in front of him for weeks on end, Tommy’s starting to go deaf. His left ear is losing hearing quicker than his right, unsure of what to do, he’s pretending that nothing’s wrong.

Dream Headcanons Because I am Nothing, If Not an Enthusiast for the Homeless Gremlin

- This is basically canon at this point, but Dream has low empathy. Whether it’s a quirk of whatever his species is or simply something up with Dream is unclear. It’s not impossible for him to be empathetic in a situation, he just defaults to no empathy.

- Mans’ never had a splinter in his life.

- Looks almost completely human save for a set of fangs. Makes up for it by having a very unsettling presence. Even Sapnap and George had moments where they were lowkey creeped out around Dream.

- Not helping the unsettling presence thing is the fact that Dream’s smile doesn’t reach his eyes. No matter the expression, his eyes are constantly locked in this stare like he’s gauging his surroundings for what/who’s the biggest threat to him, where the routes of escape are and what he can use to his advantage.

- Is oddly fond of chocolate chip cookies.

- No matter how much he says he doesn’t care about anything on the SMP, how he’s abandoned all attachments...Dream still cares about George and Sapnap. They were after all his first and only friends.

Whenever I write to find my characters' voices, I have to start by consciously telling myself: "These words are not going into the story as they are. This is for me."

It is okay to end your series earlier.

It is also okay to give your series a satisfying happy ending that follows the character growths and established world logics.

I'm finding it easier to write the ending of my own stuff, caught between spite at the bad endings I've seen/read, and a sort of pride that I know I can do better. So, let's write those endings. Or rewrite them!
