What happened to Prince is truly sad, but don't you think that's all a bit much?

Some might view it as such but I believe that there have been countless campaigns in recent days for the protection of a variety of legends, icons and garden-variety celebrities. I have merely taken the most sensible route of compiling a list of our current living greats so that appropriate action can be taken to avoid a massacre by the end of this year. While a safe house may not be that realistic per se, I do believe that routine medical testing should be made mandatory for anyone who has a substantial gift to contribute to our global nation.

Holiday Hello → Jarley

TIME FRAME → Evening, November 27th.

THE LOCATION → Lima Bean.

GENERAL NOTES → A coffee date? Kind of.

It was only for a few days but Jake was looking forward to making the best out of his time back home. He’d already stuffed himself silly with his mother’s cooking on Thanksgiving, but he hadn’t seen his friends yet. He knew a lot of the older group would have either gone back already, stayed in New York or just weren’t up for being bothered so he stuck to his own group, opting to get coffee with Marley over staring at her through a computer’s screen.

Pushing through the Lima Bean’s door and moving out of the cold, Jake adjusted his scarf before removing his mittens and glancing around the small shop. It was fairly empty for the time being and he’d gotten there before her so he moved towards the line, ordering himself a hot chocolate instead of something laden with caffeine. After standing around for a moment and receiving his drink, Jake moved to sit in one of the empty booths while he gripped roughly at his cup, numb hands dying for warmth.

THE LOCATION → Skype.

GENERAL NOTES → Jake and Marley decide to catch up.

After an evening of absentmindedly clicking on the keyboard of his laptop and lounging around in bed after a long day of classes, Jake finally picked up his phone to text Marley. He hadn’t been sure if they were still on for their Skype session because as the day progressed a number of things could have changed--- she could have made plans, had homework, been busy. He wouldn’t have been upset if anything had come up and he’d hear from her soon enough whether it was an ‘I’m sorry’ text or the generic ringing that’d play from his speakers had she logged on.

A moment passed and he placed his phone on his thigh before propping himself back up against the wall. He figured he had a moment to do some internet surfing until she called, he just hoped that his computer wouldn’t have a meltdown in the process.

Kissy pics? Did I miss something or does that mean you’re a little more than roommates?

No, I'm still roommates with Kurt.  I'm... kind of seeing someone.  Maybe.  Hanging out?  We don't really have terms hammered out.  Anyway, I was hanging out at her place during all the snow and her one roommate was being sort of a pain in the ass.  Gentle teasing or whatever, except she made an Instagram for me and then kept trying to take pictures to post on it.  I took control eventually.

It sounds like you've already had quite the beginning to a wonderful holiday season Rachel. I hope that you and Jesse enjoy the remainder of it! I'm sure that the two of you deserve some rest and relaxation together between your busy schedules.

Oh, well, I have always viewed Halloween as the unofficial start to the holidays from my infant days in the Berry household via the alienating but thrilling move to New York City and into my new, established persona as a New Yorker in a city made for the festive period, and Halloween is the perfect opportunity to show off my vast array of talents from bedazzling to glitter appliqueing in preparation for the simply wonderful few months as I build up towards the very best and most vibrant few days of the Hanukkah, Rachel Barbra Berry Day and Christmas collective! Although showbusiness waits for no-one, Jesse's Hanukkah theme for this year involves daily spa treats and I personally cannot wait to be pampered and preened like the real life star that people finally acknowledge I am. I do hope that your holidays, while in a highly unattractive and musically uninspiring locale, are proving to be nearly as amazing as my own?
