looking through old quotes from random people
"This morning I bit off my fingernail and spat it into the toilet. It had more knowledge than you do." - old PE teacher
I miss high school assemblies
they were so crappy
they warmed my heart
I'm just now realizing how unusual the people were at my high school. I never thought anything of it until now, when I started telling my hallmates about it and they reacted in extreme fashions.
For example, a couple years ago this one guy set his jacket on fire and ran around the amphitheater. Somehow, this went unnoticed by the faculty and staff, and I didn't even bring it up at dinner.
This other time, a guy jumped out of the window of his second-story chemistry class, but he was fine. A few years later, another guy jumped out of a second-story window and broke his ankles. On both occasions, the window-jumping was done for fun.
Oh and at one point there was an assistant principal who was an ex-narc officer and kept wolves as pets but then one of them bit a student.
I mean this all feels normal to me but apparently it isn't...?
I didn't even know this existed.
Twelfth Night
Likely the last play I will ever be in, the last time I will feel that panic rising up in my gut. But I wouldn’t trade a minute of it. From A Streetcar Named Desire to California Suite to Noises Off, I have has an exceptionally amazing experience in the Terra Linda Drama Department. I will miss acting, my theater family, my teacher and everything else more than I can say. As I walk through these rooms for the last few times, as I feel the fabric of the costumes and the heat of the stage lights I know so well, I feel as if I am leaving a small bit of my heart here, tucked away in the crevices and corners. I have made friends here that have changed my life. They coaxed me out of my shell and onto the stage. They stayed by my side when things got hard, and taught me how to not only love other people, but how to love an art. I grew and changed with these people and I hope they know I will always love them. No matter how far we roam, or where out separate lives take us, I know I will always cherish the memories I made in the drama room. My heart aches when I think about how soon my departure date is. I know I will be ready when the time comes, but I am saying goodbye to a family. So, let Twelfth Night give the closure we all want and let’s just kick ass one last time!
All my love to my fellow thespians,
