Trainee Mission 005 - Performance

Half the performances were over and she couldn't say that this wasn't right up her alley. Surely, she wasn't debut ready yet, there were still more things to learn and so on, but she couldn't say she had much to be upset about when looking at her performances so far. Surely there was much to correct and practise, but it was always possible to do better somehow. So as long as she was able to see her own mistakes and where she was lacking and as long as she was able to fix those, in her eyes, she was good.

Surely, the girl's biggest concern is to do the original songs justice, after all they're all by well-known, popular and skilled seniors and that was what she felt most pressured by as well. Aside from the usual worries about doing good enough.

By now, the routine of getting dressed, putting on make-up and everything was quite familiar to her already and she didn't feel as nervous as she did for the first stages. Her hands were still shaky, but she also looked forward to going back up on stage. She still wanted to be a musical actress rather than an idol, but as long as she wasn't able to pursue that, there was nothing wrong with enjoying the opportunities she could take now.

Adjusting random parts of her clothes for seemingly no reason, the female went over the lyrics and dance again and again as she waited, glad when they were finally called and already much calmer on the stage. No matter how many lines she was given, or if she was standing at the back or front, she made the best of it, moving as well as she could and enjoying singing as much as always.

There was nothing that made Yisol feel quite like when she was performing, moving over the stage and winking at a camera and no matter where her future would lead her, surely she'd find herself on some stage.

Trainee Mission 005 - Preparation

Yisol really couldn't complain as she looked at the songs for her training group. Almost all of them were familiar to some extent and she really enjoyed a good amount of them as well. Practising would be fun, at least until it got serious and she would start feeling nervous about standing on stage, or if they'd have difficulties synchronising and such. And, of course, there were many songs to learn, so she'd have to do her best not to get confused between them.

The girl's favourite part was that they got a boy group song as well, for their last stage, which spiced everything up, so to speak. 2PM was a group she'd listened to a lot in the past, the song being equally familiar and she felt as though she'd have a lot of fun with this project.

Her joy wasn't squashed by practising, but it definitely put things into perspective. There were many songs and not all that much time to learn them, not that that would make her give up, or feel despair.

The first week's song was one of those she wasn't as familiar with. Well, these were songs from senior artists, half of which were released when she wasn't even 12 years old yet, so it was expected. But this one was released even before her birth.

Yisol enjoyed it nonetheless, there was something about these older songs, that newer songs didn't have. Surely, she liked newer songs as well, but there was a difference she couldn't explain, something aside from the usual changes in any form of media that naturally happened over time.

Once the first performance was just around the corner, her excitement was bigger than her nerves. She'd never be able to resist the chance to perform on stage, even if she wasn't on the path that she wanted just yet. She wasn't singing in musicals, but she would be one day and until then she'd enjoy singing and dancing like this. Nothing could stop her and that was something she was very much convinced of.

The senior performances were fun, although not all of the songs were entirely her style. It was always fun to try something different, though and she was sitting next to Sori, as she was getting ready for the performance, humming the song, maybe a bit louder than she should considering that she wasn't alone.

Ahra didn't actually realise, though, too focused on her preparations and too nervous that she could forget her lines or anything like that, so going through the song again helped at least a little bit.

It was interesting, how little she really knew about Sori, even though they'd been living in the same dorm for a bit. They didn't seem to be getting along all too well, which was already curious enough for the female, not being too much of a complicated person and she usually wasn't all that stubborn either. Well, one couldn't get along with everyone, after all.
