Well, as it’s spooky season I shall resume my TMA relisten.

Martin and Jon’s incredibly awkward reunion after the kidnapping is just so - them! Martin so contrite and forgiving, Jon trying to joke and being kind under all the awkwardness. And Jon being reluctant to talk to Martin until he’s actually talking to Martin. Perfect example of not realising he’s in love until it hits him.

And finally a reference to the rest of the Institute and Martin is part of that world outside and Jon barely knew it existed even before all this.

Of course - the isolation and loneliness of the victim in this story leading him to welcome the horrors mirroring Jon’s loneliness and isolation leading him to almost welcome what is happening to him in the Archives.

And the story - beetles and love and sadness. Horrifying but also sad.
