So I really wanted to make some TMA fan art and by pure coincidence my sister got me some Black 3.0 for my birthday. What better to paint The Dark? I decided to paint Manuela Dominguez and her creation of the dark star, took some liberties with what the strain would do to her for Aesthetique

I’m pretty happy with how it came out, though it’s frustrating that I can’t get the camera to pick up how light absorbent the star actually is!

Edit: this also uses Mirror for the non-black streaks on her cheeks, as an homage to the white mist that pours out of Maxwell Rayner when he shifts bodies. I liked the contrast on the light catching on that whilst absorbing entirely into the star.

It’s odd, Jon’s being isolated to “strengthen his powers”, but it feels like he’s feeding the lonely along with the eye... what a strange complicated man.
