fellas as some of you might know, my main source of dopamine currently is the magnus archives and so I just finished episode 56 and

no coherent thoughts tbh but ohohoho Jon confronting Martin, the shouting, the whole thing yes yes

I am genuinely hooked and also, as is in my nature, very much enjoying paranoid Jon (but also get some rest man)

thousands and thousands of spiders in a trenchcoat!! :DD hell yea!!

i finally got a chance to use my new (and very old) typewriter i bought last sunday on the flee market >:)))) ((he's my baby now)))

i wanted to keep the post short but i do want to share one more thing: i've made one (1) visible mistake while typing and of course it has to be "shittering" instead of "skittering" and OF COURSE when i put the next layer on it, it has to look like it says "shit"........... im- fine- :' )

TMA 56 - Children of the Night

That spider person is incredibly creepy.

Jon’s reaction ‘the only proof of its existence seems to be that I am far too unlucky for it to have merely been an old tramp’s hallucination’ - taking it all a bit personally aren’t you, Jon? (Although to be fair - Jon is absolutely correct)

‘I need to have some words with Martin’ - Ominous...

‘Sit down!’ - don’t you dare shout at Martin! It’s not Martin’s fault Trevor didn’t die.

Oh, Jon, you’re taking Martin’s ‘lying’ very personally...‘I can’t forget it’

Oh, the relief in Jon’s voice when Martin admits lying on his CV - and nothing else. He’s so relieved he actually laughs. He’s happy that Martin can be trusted.

And personally, I think this is a huge step forward for Jon and Martin. Jon believes Martin, and trusts him, and is happy and relieved he can do this. Martin matters. Matter betraying him would HURT. And the joy in finding he can trust Martin.

Jon must know at this moment that Martin is important to him. I mean, Jon lacks self awareness but even must understand that his overjoyed relief at believing and trusting Martin mean something. He’s so happy you can almost hear tears in his voice
