more EP requests 57!!! first mention of one of my absolute favourite locations in the whole show if only for how bizarre it is
Rahhhhhh
Personal Space
So Moon and I have started taking the Magnus Archives’ episode titles and trying to guess what they’re going to be about based on that alone. Sometimes we get it hilariously wrong. It’s great.
So. Episode 57. “Personal Space.” I call for guesses.
Moon and I, simultaneously, place bids on the Vast and the Buried respectively.
Polar fucking opposite concepts. (except not really if you think about it)
Is it ALL SPACE or NO SPACE?
(It’s Myspace.)

— not!sasha definitely seems to not like her voice being on tape..
jonathan said the station was launched by some company owned by the Fairchilds, and a private investment by Nathaniel Lukas who is based in Ny-Alesund.
the Fairchilds is obviously Simon Fairchild from mag 21 and 51. no one asked for it but here's a mini timeline of what the old dickhead Simon Fairchild has been up to and when:
Early 2000s - Did a skydiving jump with Robert Kelly in 'memory of his wife'. Before jumping he told Kelly "Enjoy sky blue" - Mag 21
2006 - Bribed a diving company to send divers down to the Maria Fairchild, before Antonia Hayley and her coworker Julio Hernandez went into the water he shouted something at them - Mag 51
2007 - Part of the Stratosphere Group that launched the space station 'Daedalus' into space - Mag 57
alright. next! 'Nathaniel Lukas' is most likely from the same Lukas family that appeared in mag 13 and mag 33. the Lukas' are the creepy family at the funeral in mag 13. Also, Peter Lukas is the captain of the ship in mag 33.
The Lukas family is a riot.
Finally, "Ny-Alesund" was what the gathering were chanting at the church in mag 25!
Thats it !!
Statement ends.
- xaphan.
In MAG57 Personal Space, Carter Chilcott was completely isolated from anybody else in the lonely. I like to think that he managed to get one message out to Jan and Manuela and it was just this image. I do NOT care that this doesnt make sense its funny motherfucker!!!!
Oh you listen to tma? That’s so cool! I love that podcast
Yeah!! Moon and I are listening through when we need background noise. Spud’s been through way more than us but she hops in too!
It’s been an absolute delight to listen to so far. The writing is wonderful! :D
Out of curiosity, have you been able to accurately guess what some of the episodes were about? (Asking as someone that hasn't listened to them at all)
Occasionally, though usually just with basic concepts rather than exacts. Some of the titles are quite literal in unexpected or roundabout ways so it’s a fun challenge (and we are often laughably wrong).
