Slightly More Coherent Meta-ish Thoughts

Is Georgie TMA or TMP Georgie? Are her and Celia and some others doing a Sliders (does anyone remember the show? just me? anyhow). Did they step through a rift on purpose or by accident and are now trying to get back to their original universe?

If it's not tma!Georgie is an integral part of Georgie making podcasts in any universe? How does Celia feel about it (if she is the Celia from the lil tma!tunnels cult), having someone she used to know be there but it not being the person she knew?

Did Gertrude rescue Gerry from the Institute? If not how did they meet? Why are they going with grandma instead of mother like they did for the hospital in TMA? Where does the nickname Gee Gee come from? Is it just to annoy her? Is it an alliteration for Grandma Gertrude?

Does she dye his hair now?

Also Gerry gives me so much artist hipster vibes I bet he has colourful hair and wears floral shirts and everything. The transcript states that he drinks herbal tea for breakfast so you know he's that kind of artist. (I hope someone draws both Gerry's and it's that barbie and goth house meme personified)

Did meeting Gerry early changed the course of Gertrude's character as well? Like instead of being this battle hardened cold Archivist, she met this kid and thats it, she's had enough of this place, she's getting out and taking him with her.

TMA Quick Thoughts ep160

haven’t done these in some time, so lets go, I don’t have many thoughts and most are very very vague but here are some:

-the episode beginning felt a bit off, kinda lotus eater-y? I adore fluff, but that seemed too neat. Also Martin felt a bit...bland in a way, like hmmm, the version Jon likely sees and not the person we got to see during the rest of the season? - that was too nice before everything went too hell and I don’t trust it is what I’m saying - I have to admit that would’ve made one hell of an actual series ending - i don't think next season will be all about saving the world, I’m not even sure if I trust what we heard this episode happening - something or the other Web Lighter and Hilltop Road and parallel universes and some vague thoughts - look I don't trust the 158 description: Original recording of events leading to the disappearances of Jonathan Sims, Martin Blackwood, Alice Tonner and Peter Lukas. Sure it could be about Basira covering up where Jon and Martin went, but also - what if jon didn't bring the fears into our world but people touched by them into their dimension - I still don’t quite trust as well how neat the Fears are categorized, even if one big blob in the end, and how that ritual went? Like that was all made up by some rich british victorian lads and while I don’t doubt that could bring about the end of the world.... it feels too idk insert word here that would describe the opposite feeling I get from Jonny and that victoria sponge tweet. - Adding one completely out there theory for flavour: This episode is a thing made by the Web, either as a potential promise or threat or some weird info dump for Jon, so he knows whats actually going on. S5 starts with Jon waking up, again, outside the Lonely and with Martin and Daisy both missing and himself having been gone for some time

Anyhow, I’m looking forward to see how s5 is going to go and don’t doubt it will be a surprise one way or the other

TMA Quick Thoughts Ep151

The Big Picture - or Colonel Warren Kepler wishes he was even a fraction of that cool

- ten seconds in and I love everything about Simon Fairchild - “the things they could learn here, turn your hair white, ey?” Is this why Jon has already greying hair? Is that why we think Elias is a silver fox? - “Goodness, he was not exaggerating.” Peter probably a few days earlier: he’s a snacc, Simon, a salty peanut butter cup in dark chocolate snacc - “Is there a limit?” Martin remembers his fae stories, good boy - “I see” the damn beholding puns are rolling in early - Gosh I love Martin Blackwood so much, straight forward with the questions - META META META DELICIOUS META OM NOM NOM too bad jon isn’t around for a good meal - “I think our experience of the universe has value, even if it disappears forever.” this is the most poetic shit - Ah the hand metaphor is back and we get the window fall from s1 explained! - “We’re not. Sit back down!” Me and Simon Fairchild both: h o t - Martin's collecting himself an array of spooky sugar daddies in want of a younger dom, good on him - “The only reason this one feels special is, well, because it’s happening to you.” I’m still not over this line and being followed up with: “Much of a muchness.” - “How do feel about rollercoasters?” Martin being very diplomatic - BASIRA MY GIRL HELL YEAH - CALL HIM OUT MAKE HIM TALK GO BABE - “He seems to thinks you’ll come to him when you need him. I think you’re feeding him what he needs to hear so he doesn’t bother you.” (hopefully a bit of both) - Gosh i love their interaction even more than the one between Martin and Georgie and I already loved that so much - “Awful, but honest.” oh, oh dear, ship detected. security informed. - Do you ever think about how Martin lost everyone else so far, his parents, Sasha and Tim, for a bit Jon, and how he just went “Okay, fine, I can withstand this, so I will endure and see this through” and he did it already when it was about a bunch of people he barely knows and the world, and then get sad? - .... but then also remember that there is a good chance of monster!Martin luring around the corner and honestly i’m so here for it and cheering him on

RQG Quick Thoughts Rome Sidequest - Part 4

This episode was so much. But it also was so extremely good. It left me both very still and sad and oddly optimistic. Both Grizzop and Sasha got a very good, very fitting ending. I’m going to miss them so much, but I’m relieved that their journey ended in this way, and I’m excited to see what comes next and what new characters we get.

Shoutout to the editors and Alex, for doing such an excellent job with the soundscaping, this was genuinely impressive.

Also just, Alex, he did such a great job in terms of narrative and wrapping things up and the sheer balance of everything within the episode is amazing. It could’ve been truly terrible and painful, and it was painful don’t get me wrong, but it was also so well done and wonderful and worth the pain we went through.

Quick Thoughts on Ep132

What an episode! So I always had a fondness for the Buried statements, but this week just blew it all out of the water. New favourite episode? New favourite episode!

- All last three statements were so good, but this one just, everything - the voice acting, the soundscaping, the narrative, the writing, just it’s all so good? - Since early release I already relistened like 7 times to it, so that’s where we’re at - I have so many feelings about this episode, not sure there is anything coherent in there - Jonathan Sims, disaster Archivist of my heart! He cares so much and he tries and just ugh, bury me in the coffin - He doesn’t have much left, but what little there is, what little he can salvage for others, he’s going to try and fight for it with the limited resources and framework available to him - Daisy, just Daisy - See I started with not liking her character as such very much, she was one of the few that scared me, because police officer with seemingly no morals and a bloodthirst. Over the span of the series she grew on me more and then end of s3 happened and now this episode and just... - I love Daisy and I love her character development and I’m excited to see where this goes (and hope that it won’t all end too soul crushing) - And it would’ve been so easy to just not do this? To have her character be just the scary police officer? Or to go feral? And that’s not what happened and Jonny spun a lot of expectations on its head and I’m so glad he did - I also love the contrast between Melanie and Daisy, one who dislikes that this connection to a power has been taken from her and one who welcomes it to find herself again - Just Daisy and Jon talking but also probably clinging to each other as they struggle to get out of there - this is not the friendship I expected to see this season but damn if it isn’t the one I needed - The tape recorders add a very spooky note to everything else, they are both anchor, but also the line that pulled Jon back and I wonder what it was that turned them on. Did they turn themselves on? Also is it the Beholding calling Jon back or something else? Because he didn’t think it was the Beholding listening in. Maybe another interference from the Web? Or a the ominous emerging 15th power. - THe reunion!!! Just this small “Hi” and the breathless “oh my god” and just bury me in the coffin will you
