a real collection of shapes going on here, with a Tmarus sp., one of the weirdest cosmopolitan crab spider genera, having caught a Camponotus cruentatus ant that is practically only recognizable from its unusual coloring. the little bubblegum looking fly mooching off of her meal may or may not be one of the appropriately named freeloader flies, or milichiids, or some other mysterious acalyptrate that likes free stuff

#670 - Tmarus sp. Crab Spider
On Banksia. A grey crab spider with a large abdomen rising to a blunt point. T. cineraceus, an east coast species, has been observed building a retreat brood chamber by folding a leaf tip, and hanging by a strand of silk at night but only before the retreat is built. After the retreat is built the female stays in it or very close by, guarding the clutch of 30 or so opaque, cream-coloured eggs, each about .6mm in diameter.
