at first I was considering this concept with Mikey, but ended up doing it with Donnie because he's the one less likely to question Leo and more willing to go along with Leo's ideas/plans. (Mikey only does so when it suits him, yk.) Leo's got the most unquestioning loyalty and trust from Donnie and maaayyybe that's. not always a great thing.

maybe Donnie needs to learn the hard way that Leo is not as invincible and all-knowing as he likes to think his biggest strongest brother is.

the rats are watching us.

they haven't learned yet to listen to Mikey once in a while. he just has that "overactive imagination".

do we even get to choose?

this is shaping up to be a major theme for the Repurpose boys. what were they made for, and do they get to choose what their purpose is? (thus the title!) being a young human thinking about the future is scary enough, but living in the shadows greatly limits your opportunities.

they each have different views on this subject, of course, but they're all uncertain. the future does not seem particularly bright.

it becomes a question of choosing your fate.

hopefully I'll come up with some more comic things kinda like this. it really helps bring them to life. this was just one of those moments of inspiration though. :3

RIP Raph's desire for beer. or maybe not. he's pretty sure he just has to keep trying, and try some different kinds and better quality. maybe one of them tastes cool, right? and Donnie does not get the hype but he's here for it anyway.

these two get away with a lot of secret shenanigans, both individually and together, because they know how to keep their mouths shut, unlike two other turtles I could mention.

(dw Raph, I think most beer drinkers are faking it. it's just nasty. sorry.)
