last night i attended the hugh jackman concert in dublin, and very early on, he started to tell a story about being wolverine. as the crowd clapped and cheered, i held up my wolverine backpack so he’d see ; and by grace of where i was, he DID ! he stopped in front of me, he leaned down, and he asked “what is that? is it a pillow?” i told him no, it’s my bag! and he said that it was cool, and then being.. y’know, me, i said i’ve got a badge, too! - showing off the little enamel bub that i bought from @cykelops ( who you should ALL be supporting, because rosi’s enamel pins are just... the cutest things ). i asked did he want it, and he thought i meant my bag ; when i said the badge, he said yes, and though i couldn’t get out of my row to hand it to him myself, one of the members of his security team came over and took it from me when i had it unpinned. he said thank you, and he asked my name. i said rachel, and he asked was i irish - when i said yeah, he made a joke about how i must spell that with a load of different letters. i didn’t know, but i was on the big screen at that point! then he showed it off to the cameras ( pictured ), thanked me again, and made a joke about how he hoped i wasn’t just a wolverine fan because “it’s going to be a long show” before he pinned it to one of his companions jackets for safe keeping and “for good luck!” i really hope at some point a video goes up - or that i at least get some more pictures of the ! it was ... without a doubt the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me ?? and honestly, ALL that i could have hoped and dreamed for of the night. he kept my bub for good luck, but i REALLY think that he’s who gave me my luck last night.
