I’m obsessed with @narcissistcookbook ´s MYTH album and you should be too… this started as a piece specifically about the library at the very bottom of this place but then I kept adding references to other songs and stories from the album haha
ID: lyrics from "maybe when you see me next" by the narcisst cookbook. the first page is made of words cut from photos, superimposed on a map of part of scotland. the other images are made of handwriting in orange highlighter, outlined in black, and superimposed over a map of parts of scotland. end ID.
my contribution to the TNC myth project!!! I really loved doing this and I definitely want to do more of it. it was so surreal seeing it on the stage in stirling.
he knows no peace
Alright I'll fix and expand my conspiracy board at some point maybe this week but
Something something "back then there was no other side to the forest" and "there never was a forest" and the narrator struggling through the forest while explaining exactly what's happening and accepting that it's happening to them and fighting through the forest to that anyway and ananke goddess of inevitably and ananke the lighthouse that was built nearly to give david brownley a reason to be there for the choirmaster and ananke goddess of the terminus and the voice that keeps the narrator up at night and let me get some sleep tonight
I am once again encouraging TNC MYTH enjoyers to read The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
It goes back and forth between an MC who is Going Through It and stories from books in an ancient, secret underground library (both are thematically and imagery-wise similar to MYTH)
And there are a couple WILD coincidences like:
"There's a portrait of us hanging in the library at the very bottom of this place" Fuck dude, there sure is
"I saw something with your face"
Also it's gay as heck with a gay MMC and sapphic FMC
If you can't/don't read physically (I can't), there's a GORGEOUS audiobook version
Yeah I'm being really normal about the new Narcissist Cookbook album why do you ask
Just. Spectacularly normal about it.
