im up thinkin about how Kotan Pa'Dar had to share his shri-tal over subspace messages in pieces instead of in the privacy of his own home with his only son and living relative,,, while in perfect health because he knew he wasn't survivng the dominion war :') and he wanted someone to know him. and wanted rugal to know his own family. and he died never knowing that he wasn't a true Pa'Dar. BRO.

So I just realised the Scene in The Never Ending Story where Artex dies is an allegory for depression and the frantic actions of the main character to get him to move is a metaphor for someone trying everything in their power to help their friend through it and ultimately failing and I literally fucking can’t right now.
