Very slowly but surely working on a ASIT inspired piece. I need something to help me process all my thoughts and feelings about this beautiful book and more beautiful protagonist.

(Besides obviously Garak, also featuring Mila the regnar, the oralian recitation mask, edosian orchids and a little Doctor Bashir there somewhere 🤭)

The idea is to finish this traditionally, probably pencil colours, maybe I'll take a shot with watercolours again.

A while back I had a dream that I found a (nonexistent) translation of ASIT in an used bookstore and ever since I've been trying to recreate the weird and fascinating style of illustration it had. This is not quite it yet.

Palandine's name really bothers me because it just does not fit at all with the previously established Cardassian naming conventions. She sounds like a Star Wars character. Why is she called that! If there is an actual reason feel free to correct me but as is it is something that I am always annoyed by in the back of my mind
