The Next Level celebrates its year anniversary at PAX Prime, expanding on our concept of competition for everyone with exciting new format changes and offering three prizing opportunities.
Our competition crowns the best all-around players through exciting challenges across multiple games and genres. Each day participants will be competing to win a grand prize package that includes an Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nvidia Shield, Astro headset and a Corsair Keyboard and mouse, while simultaneously; their celebrity coaches battle it out each day to win a $5,000 donation for charity of their choice. That’s $20,000 up for grabs to the designated charities!

The Tournament
Are you a multi-genre master? Come to our booth on the PAX East showfloor and show us your stuff. You can compete on our main stage, playing GunZ Dash, Trials Fusion, The Crew, JoJo's Bizzare Adventure and Powerstar Golf! If you last until the end, you’ll face-off on a mystery game title where one player will win the ultimate gaming package that includes a Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU, Nvidia GeForce® GTX 780, Nvidia Shield and an Astro A40 audio system!
The Next Level welcomes back the casters and host of our competition, Seltzer, SiREN of the Frag Dolls and our own "FlyGuy" Shidosha! We also welcome new faces of TNL, debuting a whole new panel of coaches from all facets of the gaming industry. In addition, we've also hooked you up with developers to make sure our players have all of the tools they need to take their game to The Next Level.
Not only will our players be competing for that top spot, but our coaches will be facing off against each other for the chance to win $5,000 each day for the charity of their choice!
Scott "SirScoots" Smith will be playing for Gamers Outreach. A video-game industry charity organization that works to use interactive entertainment in ways that improve the lives of others through their programs Project Go Kart, Fun For Our Troops, and Gaming4Others. Gamers Outreach funds the construction of portable video game kiosks used to provide entertainment to patients in hospitals who have a limited amount of access to activities outside of their rooms. Fun For Our Troops supplies video game care packages to troops serving overseas to provide stress relief, relaxation, and morale boosts. And finally, Gaming4Others which coordinates online video game tournaments and community game nights to help raise funds for others in need.
Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey is using this opportunity to play for CyberSmile. They are the first and only dedicated cyberbullying charity delivering professional advice, education and support to those affected and their families alongside schools, authorities, corporate organisations and the third sector. Awareness, education, support and positive engagement is achieved through services and their work in these schools and communities. They reach millions of people through their online activities and social media channels promoting their message of positivity and encouragement to use the power of the internet for positive change.
Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel will be going for the win to donate to Operation Supply Drop. They are a military gaming charity designed to build video game care packages for soldiers (America and Her Allies) both deployed forward to combat zones as well as those recovering in military hospitals. Many of them are located in high threat areas where morale boosting entertainment options are sorely lacking. They also act as an intermediary between game developers/publishers and the United States military, working with soldiers leaving the service, into adult education programs to facilitate them into entry-level gaming developer jobs.
Meg Turney has chosen Child's Play as her charity. They are a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide. Over the years, the community has come together with them to raise millions of dollars. Child's Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, they set up gift wish lists full of all kinds of fun stuff for kids. Anyone is able to click on a hospital on their map and send a gift. They also receive cash donations throughout the year. With these donations, they purchase new consoles, peripherals, games and more for hospitals and therapy facilities.

Events – PAX PRIME Seattle 2013 - The Next Level Is Ready for Launch at PAX Prime
The Next Level is all systems go and ready for launch at PAX Prime in Seattle from August 30 to September 2. So, if you’re heading to the show, sign up at the Ubisoft booth (#632) to see if you have what it takes to crush the competition and master The Next Level.

We’ll also have a game designer on hand to talk about The Next Level, so swing by the booth to hear more about this exciting new competitive game experience. In addition to launching The Next Level live at PAX, we are gearing up for online competition, which is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. Check our website for updates and further details. We will kick off our online tournaments with Rayman Legends and ShootMania Storm.
As for prizes, we’ll be awarding tons of cool stuff at PAX, including gaming computers, headsets, games, gift cards, t-shirts and other cool schwag, and more. And if you have what it takes to win in The Next Level, you might just score a grand prize, such as a trip to New York Comic-Con in October or a scholarship for an online game design class.
