I hope all is well and you both are okay after the hurricane. I got to Syria and it’s just...sad all over the place. I did speak with a native woman yesterday and she refused to let all of this get her down and I really think we need more people like that in the world.
I’ve showed off pictures of Abby to anyone who will listen to me. They guys in my unit have all just taken to smiling indulgently at me when I talk about you and Abby and Sawyer. Most of them don’t have a family so they don’t really understand yet, but they will. There is an older guy I get on with well who has a family at home. His girls are 7 and 9 and he has a baby boy who’s 2. I hope I get to meet them one day. He talks about them like they put the stars in the sky...kind of how I talk about you guys. It’s nice.
