#to be drunk

Its a Saturday so you cant judge me

how bout some drunk poetry prompts?

And i know there is one prompt "snow" in my inbox and i will write it now cause last time i only saw it once i was sober so i couldn't write it but i will now

To Be Drunk

I took an ice cream scoop

To her middle,

Carved out all her pink,

Juice ridden, flesh;

Like summer’s version

Of a jack o lantern.

Added a blend of vodka,

Fastened a tap,

And returned all her sap

From whence it came,

Her juicy flesh, inside again

Soon to be drunk;

She is soon to be drunk;

We are soon to be drunk.

It’s a new month and a (mostly) new list of things to read and things to drink. I say “mostly” new because once again I failed to read White Noise by Don DeLillo. But I have good reason. That reason: a read along with Rincey (http://www.youtube.com/rinceyreads) featuring Donna Tartt’s The Secret History. I’m committing to just one book this month, because I always seem to let myself down anyway. Set the bar low, is my new mantra.
