Box of Kittens {Klaus Mikaelson}

Pairings: Klaus Mikaelson x Female Human Reader

Summary: Klaus tries to do something nice for you to cheer you up.

Word Count: 700+

You sat on your bed with a frown. You and your friends Caroline, Bonnie and Elena just had a big fight. Well, Bonnie, Elena and Caroline did but of course, Elena had to drag you into the fight. There was nothing against you in the fight but, they wanted you to pick a side.

But, you didn't want to pick a side. You loved all three of your best friends and didn't want to lose any of them. You were scared that you might lose one of them or all of them though. You just wanted to try to fix things between your best friends which, had not been going well so far.

As you were sitting there deep in thought, someone knocked on your bedroom door. It made you jump slightly since you had been distracted. You were honestly hoping it was not Bonnie, Caroline or Elena since you needed a break from the drama.

"Who is it?" You asked.

"It's Klaus. Can I come in love?" He asked. You sighed and got up and then walked over to your door and opened it. Klaus was standing there with a box. You looked at the items confused and then looked back up at him.

"Why did you bring a box?" You asked.

"Well, there is something inside of it for you." He said.

"I- well that's sweet but why?" You asked with a small chuckle.

"I herd about the squabble your three friends were having and that you got dragged into the middle of it so, I wanted to make you feel better." He said.

"Oh.. thank you." You said with a smile.

"Could I come in your room?" He asked with a chuckle.

"Sure." You said with a nod and moved to the side so Klaus could come in. He walked in and set the box down on your bed. The box oddly had some holes in it, almost like breathing holes. You were confused on what was in the box so you walked over to it. You examined it then looked back at Klaus.

"What's in the box?" You asked.

"Well-" Before he could respond, you her a little meow come from inside the box. You gasped and looked at the box and then walked back at Klaus.

"Is it kittens?!" You asked excitedly.

"Possibly." He said with a chuckle. You smiled and carefully opened the box. You looked inside and you saw for little kittens and they all looked up at you. You sat down on the bed and then carefully took each kitten out of the box.

They were playing and crawling all over you making you giggle. Klaus watched you play with the kittens and watching you made him smile. You gently snuggled them and then continued to play with them.

"So, how do you feel?" He asked.

"Happy." You giggled. "I mean how couldn't I be happy when you brought me 4 adorable baby kittens." You said with a smile.

"Good. I'm glad your happy love." He said with a smile and sat beside you. "The kittens are for you to keep too." He said.

"I- really?" You asked with a big grin.

"Yeah, really. They are yours." He chuckled. "And don't worry, I asked your mother if it was okay before hand." He said.

"Okay. Thank you Nik." You said with a smile.

"You're welcome." He said smiling back. You watched the kittens play together happily and then you looked back to Klaus who was not looking at the kittens but, looking at you. You smiled and bit your lip softly.

Then you decided to do something you had thought about doing for a long time. You leaned up and planted a soft, loving kiss to his lips. He was shocked but, kissed back. You had liked Klaus for a long time now but, little did you know, he felt the exact same way about you.

"I- sorry." You said with a soft chuckle.

"No, no.. it's okay love." He said with a smile.

"It is?" You asked.

"Yeah of course it's ok love. I mean, I feel the same way about you." He said. You smiled and then leaned up and kissed him again. He smiled and kissed back. You pulled back and looked into his gorgeous eyes.

"Can you... stay for the night then?" You asked.

"Of course love." He said. You smiled and the two of you kissed again. Looks like you were dating a Mikaelson now.

Fanfiction thing Pt. 3

Ah yes, the three landmarks of a canon era merthur fic, in that order

lovesick elijah

warnings: none that i could think of but let me know if there’s any

elijah would definitely be somewhat in denial if any of his siblings would mention that he acted like a lovesick puppy when it came to you

and when he’d realize that they were actually right, there would be no point in feeling embarrassed about it

shameless about following you around most of the time and it’s not because he’d think you can’t protect yourself, it’s just that he wouldn’t know what he’d do if something were to happen to you

also just because he’d just want to be near you majority of the time because love

so, he’d definitely suggest teaching you how to fight to ease his mind and it’d also mean spending more time with you so it’d be a win-win

he’d be so in love with you that it’d be impossible for him to put in into words and you’d leave him speechless often

the highlights of his day would be a nice dinner with you and reading to you as you’d fall asleep with your head on his chest

honestly, he would only allow himself to fall asleep once he’d know that you were sleeping and he’d press the softest of kisses on your face and head

would do anything for you, within in reason because this is elijah mikaelson, just name it

he’d try his best to make every day a little extra special for you by doing things like bringing breakfast in bed for you and running hot baths for you at the end of each day

and if he wouldn’t be able to be there one day, he’d leave you heartfelt little letters to read

i think he would try to have simple romantic dinners often but for special occasions or, just for the hell of it, he’d go all out for you and it would be pretty close to perfect

nice little walks by the riverfront would be a weekly tradition unless he’d think that it’d be unsafe to do so

he’s such a romantic so he’d probably sway with you in the kitchen and the moment you’d smile and laugh at his sudden need to dance, he’d miss a step or something

that would show just how much power you’d have over him and i don’t think he’d be upset about it

also i’m sure he’d play the piano for you and maybe throw in a lesson or two if you’d be interested but i’m sure your focus would 100% be on him

he’d probably blush or stumble over his words once he’d realize that you were staring at him the whole time and that’s pretty rare for elijah

but it’d be okay because he’d definitely stare at you the same way and wonder how he got so lucky

elijah would be so soft for his s/o and would just want to surround you with love because he’d have so much love for you

at first, he’d be so head over heels for you that he would always want to impress you

i mean like, at the beginning of the relationship he’d want to show you the finer things in life and all of that

he’d probably get a little carried away with all of the fancy restaurants and soirées so much so that he’d probably fail to notice that you’d be a little uncomfortable

it’s not that you wouldn’t like all of the fancy things, it’d be very nice, but you’d enjoy it a little less often instead of every other day. it would just take you some time to get used to it

when you’d bring this up to him he’d probably get a little upset with himself for not noticing what he was doing and how that would make you feel

his heart would be in the right place and you’d know that it’s just being around stuffy snobs isn’t for everyone

elijah would apologize so many times and i think he’d feel the need to do something a little extravagant but he’d catch himself and realize that’s the reason for your discomfort

that would lead to him being pretty hard on himself again so you’d have to really reassure him that you’re not upset with him and that he didn’t have to go all out to impress you

honestly, just waking up to him everyday would be more than enough for you and he’d realize that pretty soon

so, going forward he would try to keep things pretty calm and low-key but it would still manage to make you blush because you’d know that he really loves and cares about you from his actions

he would always be sure to ask you what you’d like to do instead and would fully immerse himself in whatever it was

like, if you’d prefer to stay home and watch movies, he’d be okay with that and would probably get some expensive wine because he can’t help it

after a while he would probably prefer nice home dinners with you more than going to a fancy restaurant but it really wouldn’t matter as long he’d get to spend more time with you

also, just because you wouldn’t go out to fancy places didn’t mean he couldn’t spoil you with amazing clothes and gifts because it’s elijah

he’d probably combust when he’d see you wearing whatever he picked out for you and would be so lost for words because you’d look amazing

don’t expect anything less than the best for the holidays and your birthday because how could elijah not make them extra special and a touch fancy

i think at that point it’d be less about impressing you and more so about showing you the kind of things he’d like

yeah, sure it can be a bit much sometimes but it’d be nice to see a different side of him from when you first met

no matter how tough he pretends to be, you’d know that elijah wears his heart on his sleeve and when it comes to your relationship, he’d show you how serious he is about you

so, he’d respect your wishes and would always consider your comfort when it came to the mikaelson soirées but he could never miss an opportunity to spoil you and show how much you mean to him

elijah would try pretty hard to impress you at first but it would soon click that neither of you really needed super fancy things but he’d still make every moment special for you which wouldn’t be very hard
