i just wanna ask, what is the point of releasing a new spin-off TV show immediately after the actual show ended? wouldn’t they want to let it marinate?? maybe they’ve truly been consumed by greed, maybe they really are trying to send a message— either way, it seems to destroy the sanctity of the series’ supposed “revolutionary ending”. and for all the talking some cast members have done about audiences supposedly being upset that the show is “over”, they sure do want to keep the franchise alive and kicking. IMO it doesn’t make much sense.
also tales of 85 looks cheap, which makes me think that maybe, just maybe, the spin-off is part of their conformitygate plot, and that’s where some of their $300 million budget went. cheap enough not to waste too much money, but just developed enough to look real and keep people engaged.
i’ve seen some people point out the placement of the vine on the new poster and the way it crosses over certain letters to potentially spell out a message, to which i say, FANTASTIC eye!! some examples i’ve seen are “ratem”, which is a football app 👀, “x a lie”, and “meta”. perhaps those are coincidences, but i’m sure the ST team knows about conformitygate at this point. and if there is no secret episode, wouldn’t it be paramount that they don’t accidentally encode any messages into their posts and media?? they have tons of people working on this and tons of money, so why and how wouldn’t they notice the vine placement and make sure it’s unambiguously meaningless??
maybe the message was a mistake and it really is a real show, and them promoting it right after the finale is a way to grab people’s attention. those are just my thoughts!! ^__^
