Been slowly climbing to Gold in Marvel Rivals again (I don’t care about rank, Gold 3 is the minimum to get the free Emma Frost comp skin so once I get to G3, I’ll stop comp till 2.5) and with all of the drama going on atm with support v dive characters, it’d b funny if they introduce in S3 an anti-dive character. Not someone that ppl would expect and since Spidey is the main dive, ya’d think I’d say someone like Doc Ock or Scorpion or some other of his villains but no. Imagine if it was Toad.

An anti-dive dive character who can keep up with the high mobility heroes and use slimy spit to trap characters temporarily. Quick jumping movements to move fast around the map and even use the momentum to do harder hits, a tongue attack that tracks like Dagger’s primary fire and works like Spidey’s E where it either pulls him in or the target in. Then of course the slime spit that slows and stacks until enough is applied and stuns the target for a few seconds (or drops a flyer). Also I’ve been practicing Storm and getting better (even made a Moon Knight really mad in qp) and it’d b funny if when she gets a KO on Toad with either her right-click or E’s lightning strike, that she says the iconic line (paraphrasing of course) of “Now we know what happens when a Toad is struck by lightning.”

I mean, I guess I could also argue for Iceman, with a primary fire beam attack working like OW1’s Mei’s freeze gun. Tho’ I’d treat it like Emma’s ult where it builds up except when frozen they unthaw if hit by any attack except the ice beam and then given immunity to being frozen for about 10 secs (which doesn’t seem like a lot but in the middle of a team fight, 10 secs is like an hour). But I think Toad being the anti-dive is the most funny option they could do
