This is interesting... I wonder how much gameplay will be in this. Like, the “runner” is a pretty common and generally a “fun for maybe a half hour” game type (Perfect for mobile’s watered down overall experiences... :P), but I see 24 levels (well, there may be secret ones. :P) and some collectables: Namely 5 star... err.... red coins. So there might be a fair amount of depth in this one. Though if all stages are as short as the ones they showed, you could probably get through it 100% in under an hour. Not counting getting high scores. Speaking of...

There’s also the Toad Rally thing in that it’s like a “high score ghost” mode of sorts that is synced around the globe, which would make it rather competitive. Though if the stages do not have any variables to them, world records would very quickly be achieved by virtually everyone by just following the ghosts because the highest scoring routes will be found extremely fast.

Building a mushroom kingdom with the stuff you collect also could be fun depending on how it’s done. They didn’t show any of it, but I imagine you’ll be able to place objects, buildings, characters, etc... where you please as you unlock them. It’s not likely to hold interest for very long because this doesn’t sound like a game-game.

So I think you see where I’m going with this. I see it has potential and probably will be fun, though I don’t think it’s going to last people long. They better price it appropriately too, lol! If there’s little total gameplay for instance, I would hope they won’t make it more than a buck or two.
