109 toads and 34 frogs saved off the roads and taken to the safety of the pond. Far too many dead on the toads. Lots of big adults came out tonight because it has been raining all day.

Tonight we rescued 12 toads and 10 frogs off the roads and 4 toads and 10 frogs out of the drains.
So sad seeing them squashed on the roads. Wish people would slow down!

Tonight we saved a total of 35 toads and 15 frogs. Quite a few dead on the roads unfortunately, quite a few big females carrying their spawn to the pond that didn’t make it. ☹️ Can’t be everywhere at once but we tried our best.
We’re expecting more toads out when it gets a little bit warmer and after a bit of rain. it’s been unusually dry recently.
