i’ve made a decent amount of mutuals on bluesky for my eroguro posting and what confuses me is how many of them are very much against darkships despite drawing characters goring each other out all the time. when i was scrolling down my dash in bsky earlier today i saw one of my mutuals saying “darkshippers fuck off and get therapy!!” and that really just vexed me because i know this guy for all the crazy monsterfucking eroguro they draw and reblog. like every time i see this guy’s posts i’m finding new ways artists are splitting bodies apart and depicting intense monster sex. like my guy are we not just engaging in a different type of taboo? if you’re attributing fictional ship tastes to real life values should i be concerned that you’re posting about spilling a fictional guy’s guts? idk it’s very silly. we’re all adults here and we should all know fantasy does not equal reality right. especially if we’re all riding the gore porn train. wait until you’ve experienced someone telling you to get therapy for sadism just because you enjoy seeing fictional characters suffer. that’s how you sound like
