Echo, fallen leaves, and raccoon pls and thanks bb
hey bestieeee
echo 🕳️ - what’s a habit you want to start?
i want to start journaling/reading every day and be more consistent with my skateboarding
fallen leaves 🍃 - what’s your morning routine like, if you have one?
stereotypical teenage tomboy in a disney movie. roll out of bed. princess diaries shot of mia looking in the mirror “well. this is as good as it’s gonna get” throw on an outfit and grab something lazy for breakfast like dry cereal in a cup on my way out the door
raccoon 🐾 - have you ever accidentally stolen something?
when i was a preschool teacher i constantly stole from my kids by forgetting their shit was in my pocket. hair clips, socks, pacifiers, crayons. accidentally dripping with toddler detritus
send me a nature ask !
HOWDY - List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you. Spread the positivity! Have a good day!
1. E-Books
2. Cool Concepts
3. “The Gays”
4. Fire. Just fire, man. I like watching things burn.
5. Snufkin/Moomin fanart
I've been going down memory lane reading Hetalia stuff lately, came across an old artwork of yours, and got majorly smacked across the face with nostalgia from following you on DA years ago. It's wild to see one of my old faves still around creating art and actively online, especially when many have seemingly fallen off the face of the earth. I'm glad to see you're out there still thriving and art-ing so hi hello xoxoxo
Ayy I’m still here! Not exactly pumping out art but throwing it out here and there~
2. favorite tense (past/present/future), 4. what are some themes you love writing about?, and 13. who are your favorite writers?
2. Favorite Tense?
I like writing in present tense, though I have this really bad habit of slipping into past tense randomly.
4. What Are Some Themes You Love Writing About?
I'm a big fan of found family stuff and writing about that. One of the big topics I’m a fan of is the “us against the system” type things, whether it’s someone working outside the system like a superhero or a revolutionary thing or just people who don’t quite fit in. I do especially like writing about corrupt systems in those kind of stories.
13. Who Are Your Favorite Writers?
Obviously J.K. Rowling, for seven books at least. I’m a huge Rick Riordan fan as well. I like Corey Taylor’s books. Classically speaking, F. Scott Fitzgerald is absolutely amazing and after I got out of high school I found my love for The Bard himself. Fantasy-wise, Tolkien of course but also D.J. MacHale and Patrick Rothfuss. When it comes to film and TV: Aaron Sorkin, Joss Whedon (pre-2005 or so), Emily Andras, Jordan Peele, Ava Duvernay, and the list goes on. Comics: Brian Michael Bendis, Gale Simone, Kurtis J. Wiebe, Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, on and on.
So many more writers, I can’t bring myself to list everyone.
Fairy, King, and Jinxes :')
fairy: what is something that you get excited about?
flowers, anything that’s light pink, film photos, adventuring with people that are dear to me, sending / receiving love notes
king: describe your ideal day
this is sort of difficult because for me the person/people i’m with are more important than what we do but i’m ideally i’d be happy as a clam if i spent a sunny warm-ish day by waking up next to my lover, having a slow morning, making breakfast together, drinking tea, cuddling up on the couch while independently reading/drawing/etc, getting dressed & going out for an adventure, maybe going to the beach for sunset and coming home to unwind with a couple of drinks :’)
jinxes: if you could be anywhere, where would you want to be?
hmmm i’ll give a few options i’d be content with
- in a house connected to the marsh that i own
- in our childhood home in downtown charleston
- paris with my maman
- southern france with my sweetheart (or anywhere !)
- in grad school with a good writing community again
Give me that sweet spotify 17, 31, 52, 71, and 88 bby!
split stones - maggie rogers
i saw you in a dream - the japanese house
miss americana & the heartbreak prince - taylor swift
welcome to new york - taylor swift

2, 17, & 19 from the music asks 🎶🎵
2. an album you wish you could hear again for the first time.
oh this is hard… there are the albums i vividly remember listening to for the first time & i would love to relive the experience (lemonade, fetch the bolt cutters). then there’s albums where i don’t remember my first listen & would love to recover that (bury me at makeout creek!!! i remember listening to puberty 2 at waterloo first but i don’t remember when i first heard bury me at makeout creek)
17. if you could go back in time and attend any artist/band’s concert that you were unable to attend, who would it be and when?
if it’s ONE concert it would have to be beychella. and okay this one’s kind of ridiculous bc i’ve seen mitski twice now but i do regret missing leg 2 of the be the cowboy tour. and third is also ridiculous bc i’ve also seen them and it was a great show but it would be cool to see sleater kinney in their early 2000s riot grrrl heyday.
19. who is your favorite member of your favorite band?
i don’t really listen to a lot of bands! most of my library is like, solo female artists/musicians. but okay carrie brownstein of sleater-kinney simply bc i’ve read her book & i’ve seen portlandia— it just couldn’t be anyone else! honorable mention for lucy dacus boygenius & gerard way mcr
