YEAH KOBOLD!
Hammer!
This time I decided to show off hammers! We don’t have a lot of hammers in game yet, but I decided to show you what we have regardless.
Also a while back, I had a weapon design contest to test the waters for such a thing on a larger scale.
The winner is Drwizaaard and their wonderful idea for a boom box hammer! The in game weapon “Sound Wave” can be seen in the image above.
Here is their original concept!
I got a lot of great entries but of course there can only be one winner. The next contest will be on a larger scale.
We wanted to make the hammer unique in some way, so what we did is we gave the hammer a charge for each of its attacks. As you use charge attacks it builds steam inside the hammer. This steam can be discharged thru a vent in the rear of the hammer to deal damage in number of different ways.
Random weapon set: STAFF!!!
I haven’t posted one of these in a while! This time we have staffs! c:
Another lighting test! Its amazing what some light effects can do!!
cant have a dungeon crawl without slimes!!! i had some issues figuring out how to animate the slimes so they would match the games style... but I figured it out with some cheaty layering tricks c:
ALSO our new lights look really good on enemies and props aswell c:
We got a proper lighting system now!
With the update to unity we can have some cool new effects!
shit is pretty hype
Last Refuge: Crafting
Not TOTALLY finished but i think its time we showed what we had for the crafting system. Our crafting system works on a per part basis, you upgrade each piece on its own to build its strength. The different parts add their stats and skills to the final weapon making for some very different weapons. as an example, one weapon might have a flaming blade and the hilt part gives the weapon a long range beam slash. Changing parts on a weapon also effects its colors and effect colors to ensure you always have a nice and unique looking weapon. All of our 9 weapon types are built like this across a relatively large crafting tree with lots of upgrade paths. Items required for crafting are obtained from monster, chest, gathering spots, and bosses. Its a Huge system and we hope you guys find ways to exploit it c: this same system is also used for our armor crafting.
