Colere Varmitech-Donata is one of the main antagonists of "Twins of Animal Turmoil" and the twin brother of Machariel. He is one of the twin sons of Zach Varmitech and Donita Donata, two business owners who use animals in their greedy escapades. Colere specifically is slated to inherit Donita's fashion business, while Machariel is slated to inherit Varmitech Industries. At first, Colere seems like the stereotypical "quirky twin brother" figure, or the Red Oni to Machariel's Blue Oni, if you will. However, once he learns that Machariel wants to break free of his animal-abusing tradition, he quickly becomes more aggressive and venomous in attitude, threatening to kill Machariel if he doesn't go back as soon as possible. Of course, Machariel doesn't listen to Colere, and while Machariel ends up becoming a hero to animal lovers worldwide, Colere becomes his sworn rival, and he even helps Zach and Donita try turning Machariel back to the dark side.

Machariel "Mach" Varmitech-Donata is the main protagonist of "Twins of Animal Turmoil" and the twin brother of Colere. He is one of the twin sons of Zach Varmitech and Donita Donata, two business owners who use animals in their greedy escapades. Machariel specifically is slated to inherit Varmitech Industries, while Colere is slated to inherit Donita's fashion business. Initially, Machariel seems like a cynical and irritable young scientist who Zach treats as both his son and apprentice, but after the Wild Kratts crew stop his family from turning a rare rabbit into fashion, the Kratt brothers pull him aside and tell him that it's not too late for him to choose his own path. Zach manages to get the Wild Kratts crew out of the Varmitech-Donata family household, but Machariel somehow internalizes the Kratt brothers' words, and he begins to question everything he was taught for all his 11 years of life up until this point. As a result, he begins to rebel against his family - At first the rebellion's ways are subtle, such as him doing things slightly differently than what he was asked to do, but soon it gets to a point where he decides to try proving his worth to the Wild Kratts crew. Eventually, he does prove his worth by saving an endangered animal from his father's clutches, and Aviva - who Zach had, for so long, told him not to trust - makes him his own creature power suit, and he is given the title of "Creature Guardian" by the crew. But what happens when the Varmitech-Donata family tries to get him back?…
