what’s your top 5 book couples?

Chaol Westfall x Yrene Towers (Throne of glass - username checks out lol). they occupy my mind CONSTANTLY, it's not even funny anymore. the healing, the growth and the angst is TOP TIER. They're the only fictional couple that haven't left my mind a few days after I finished the series and (un?)fortunately probably won't be leaving anytime soon.

Elain Archeron x Lucien Vanserra (ACOTAR). I hesitate to put them this high because what we have is mostly just fanon but... I might as well I suppose. There's so much their story can explore about their characters/their future - they're really similar and complement each other in the best ways and I hope SJM does them justice (fingers crossed!)

James Herondale x Cordelia Carstairs (The Last Hours). Unpopular opinion in this fandom but honestly they're my fav tsc couple and their scenes are so cozy and fluffy, I just love it. They're friends before they're anything more and they have a genuine bond because of it, which makes them a really good ship too.

Toby Hawthorne x Hannah Rooney (Games Untold, novella in The Inheritance Games) - I don't even like the inheritance games characters that much so imagine my shock when I loved these two - in a novella, no less. I really love the star-crossed lovers aspect of it and I ate that tragic ending UP.

Will Herondale x Tessa Gray - I LOVED these two on my first read, you have no idea. Honestly don't think I would've continued with tsc if not for them. I don't love them AS much now but they still hold a special place in my heart.

i need to yap about how perfect tobannah are right now

at the beginning of the novella hannah is invisible. she chooses to disappear into the background because of her family circumstances but still, even as a stranger, toby notices her. he SEES her

"I see you, Hannah the Same Backward as Forward, I see all of you." best quote in the book, hands down

and even the other way round, hannah sees toby as well. he puts on this mask as being a horrible person, that annoying rich boy, while he really isn't... and hannah notices it. she notices the bad things, like how he's scared and running from something, but also how gentle he is and how brilliant an artist he is.
