it's  almost  discomfiting  when  people  enter  her  home  for  the  first  time,  to  show  off  a  wealth  that  others  would  kill  to  possess,  whereas  it  comes  sickeningly  easy  to  flossie.  she  had  inherited  a  fortune  from  the  remnants  of  the  lancaster  line,  accumulating  her  funds  over  the  past  two centuries.  that  was  one  of  the  minimal  good  things  about  being  a  vampire.  still,  having  a  hunter  in  her  home  was  probably  the  last  thing  she  desired  ---  but  perhaps  that  was  the  curious  thing  about  flossie,  she  always  embraced  the  unexpected.  “  um,  yes!  this  is  my  home.  i.  .  .  understand  that  it’s  very  fanciful.  ”

                        𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅  𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒍𝒚  𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒕𝒔  upward  at  the  man’s  words,  brows  raised  with  curiosity  etched  on  angelic  features.  oh  how   eager  she  was  to  learn  of  his  verdict.  what  was  his  mind  made  on,  what  decisions  had  that  𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑙𝑒  𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑑  of  his  conjured  up  ?  trademark  smirk  falls  on  such  pretty  lips.  katherine  gently  takes  a  step  closer  to  him  ---  a   𝐻𝑈𝑁𝑇𝐸𝑅  of  all  things,  but  for  now  she  is  𝐧𝐨𝐭  𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝.  such  bravery  for  someone  so  dedicated  to  self-preservation.
