Hey! Here's my second fic that I wrote for TobiDei Week | Supernatural! This one is a one-shot and fully completed-- and it's a bit lengthy lmao. I've always really liked spooky fics, especially when one of them is a ghost. So, I thought I'd try my hand with a little crack fic. I'm really happy with this, and with being able to participate in TobiDei week this year! Hope you guys like it 😌 Title : Akatsuki Unsolved Word Count : 16107 Summary 🍡💥:

Rumor has it that the abandoned Uchiha estate, tucked away in the montane forest, is possessed by a poltergeist. With Halloween just around the corner-- Kakuzu insists that cashing in on the ghost hunting scene is imperative.

Ghosts? As if. Deidara wholeheartedly believes that the so-called 'paranormal' is just a stupid myth, designed to distract from the brevity of life. Only fools would believe in such a ridiculous concept. He'd die on this hill.

But, nonetheless, rising influencers of the Akatsuki-- Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, and Kakuzu-- are on the scene.

He just wants to get this night over with. TLDR? Essentially, they explore a haunted house belonging to the late Obito Uchiha. Hijinks ensue.

*Deidara and Tobi, walking through a graveyard late at night*

Tobi: Senpai … Tobi really doesn’t like this …

Deidara: For God’s sake, knock it off with the whining, hm. Cutting through this place saves us about an hour of traveling time!

Tobi: Yeah, but … couldn’t we have made camp back in the forest, then come through here in the daytime? Be less creepy when it’s light out …

Deidara: There’s supposed to be an inn about half a mile outside of this place. We can sleep there for the night instead of out in the open again. Now stop dragging your feet; the sooner we get through, the sooner we can rest.

Tobi: I’m not dragging my feet; I’m trying to be careful not to step on anyone’s grave!

Deidara: *scoffs* You think they care? They’re dead, dumbass! They’re a pile of bones pushed under the dirt, hm. They won’t know whether we walked over their graves or not!

Tobi: But their spirits will know, and they’ll haunt us.

Deidara: Oi … aren’t you a little too old to be believing in ghosts, man?

Tobi: You’re never too old to believe in spirits, Senpai. You really should show more respect for the dead.

Deidara: *laughs* Yeah, yeah. I’ll “respect” the dead when they —

A disembodied voice from somewhere behind them: Shut up, Deidara. Tobi is right, ghosts and spirits ARE real, and —

Deidara: *shrieks and takes off running, leaving Tobi behind*

Hidan: *comes out from behind a gravestone* Geez, what’s up his ass? You told him that I was taking a shortcut from my own mission and would meet you guys here tonight, right?

Tobi, in Obito voice: Must have slipped my mind.

Deidara, going into Tobi's room: Alright, man ... what is your problem? Tobi: What do you mean, Senpai? Deidara: *shutting the door and sitting at the edge of Tobi's bed* I mean, you haven't left this room in almost five days, Obito. *goes to open the window* It's starting to smell really ripe in here ... Obito: *takes off his mask* What can I say? Haven't felt like dealing with anything. And we haven't been assigned any missions lately, right? So there should be no problem with my staying to myself. Deidara: Actually, there is a problem with it, a HUGE one in fact. Obito: R-really? What is it? Deidara: Well, it's just ... *face starts to turn red* If you tell anyone I said this, I'll out you and your Uchiha self so fast your head will spin, but ... I ... kinda miss you, hm. Obito: Obito: Y-you miss me? WHY?? I mean, you just said it, I'm an Uchiha. From a clan that you always claim you despise. Why would you miss me, in any capacity? Deidara, turning redder still: I mean ... aren't me and you friends? Can't we talk about stuff and hang out? I get ... I get lonely without you around to bother me. Obito: Obito: Senpai. That's one of the best things I've ever heard. Is it alright if I hug you? Deidara: I … don’t know? I mean the last time someone hugged me, my left hand mouth bit them, hm. Not my doing; it’s some kind of protection thing. You’d be taking a risk, man. Obito: *shrugs* I’ll chance it. *pulls Deidara into his arms and gives him a long, warm hug* Obito: What the — Deidara, pulling back, face red: Shit … did you get bit? Obito: Y-yes, but … but it was the right hand, and it wasn’t exactly just a bite. Deidara: Huh? *Obito pulls down his shirt, revealing a large hickey on his shoulder* Obito: Deidara: Obito: … Yeah so maybe it’s time we had a different kind of conversation. Deidara: Mm.
