If other people are jealous of you grades, then that's their problem. You aren't supposed to be the emotional guardian of every person on the planet. If you enjoy sharing your grades, whether that's because you like validation or just because it makes you happy, then you should do it! You shouldn't have to conform to what others say because they are jealous.

As always, most of my responses right now are very outdated (this is from Feb 16th), but seeing as I recently posted about grades, I thought it would be good to get around to answering this. Yes, it’s a delicate balance I’ve spoken with my counselor(s) about many a time, between being sensitive and trying to protect everyone’s feelings. But there’s a certain point at which I can’t tiptoe around things in my life, for the few people who have an issue with it. It isn’t really fair for it to be cool for somebody to share lower grades, yet people who receive high grades aren’t allowed to share them, and are ostracized if they do. It’s taken me years to be actually proud of my accomplishments, and I often felt ashamed and like I should just do more poorly in school, to satisfy all the jealous/resentful/whatever people.

But thanks for your support. When this conversation originally happened I would say there were only 3-4 people who lodged major complaints; everyone else was quite supportive. Like... I’m not bragging... y’all see how much I suffer and struggle... so it’s clearly not easy? It’s like someone who had a hip injury being able to run a 5-minute mile again. Would people be like, oh my god shut up you’re so stuck up, it’s not that easy for everyone! Idk man, school/grades is such a sensitive subject and it’s a shame that society and the education system have made it as such.

Hi! I've been told that you have answered questions about SDiT on planes before, but I can't find it (if you have it already answered someplace, I'm very sorry and I'll go read that!). My SDiT will be reliably task trained by the time I need to fly with her, she's house broken, and she generally well behaved. My doctor enthusiastically recommended she fly with my since I'm a type one Diabetic and I don't wear a glucose monitor. Does she qualify to fly with me?

SDiTs are not covered under the Air Carrier Access Act, BUT since a service dog is defined as a dog that is trained to perform at least one task to assist with their disabled handler, you can call her a full service dog for legal purposes and fly with her without worry!
