By the shaking or perhaps the fact that his stutter was acting up horribly? He needed a job, but a convenience store, having to serve people?? His mother knew the owner, that’s how he got it, he wasn’t sure he wanted it. Especially when he was supposed to be learning off some guy who looked so tall he could crush him with one step. In short: he was terrified.
