I love that most of the new Z-A megas being revealed are for mons that aren’t super strong and popular. Like, aside from mega dragonite, we got three mons that range in viability from “has a decent niche” to “bafflingly designed” and in terms of popularity from “oh yeah i like that one” to “i nearly forgot it existed.”

I got a biology question: are there any real-life animals that have arrowhead-shaped tail tips like people sometimes put on dragons?

some pterosaurs had diamondish-shaped tail vanes, but that’s about it for arrow tails in tetrapods!

same, its actually legit confusing to me that people are so curious about how the gems came to be. like that can be a fun space to play in and all but the gems never struck me as needing an origin is that makes sense?

oh i love backstory for these things - mind you, when balanced by a certain degree of ethereal mysticism. i like that there’s things gems don’t even know about themselves, i like the sublime theater element there… and at the same time, i’m super interested in the 20k year timeline rebecca sugar has written out for gemkind… but that’s not what future is about. at all. 

and i don’t like the perspective of like, their creation must have been by another alien species who the fandom will then demonize, and we’re gonna make SU future about that even though it has nothing to do with the themes presented.
