Something was wrong.

Allison knew something was wrong as soon as she opened her eyes to a bloated, heavy moon and not Toby. Dread and a surge of protective anger twister her insides with an iron grasp. “Dammit Toby,” she hissed to herself, even as she streaked out of the cave and down the hill. “Why couldn’t you just listen to me?”

It wasn’t difficult to find her ward. She just had to follow the current of magic, thick and noxious as smoke, to Toby and his aunts. “Get away from him!” Allison snarled, magic arcing from her fingertips to the ground.

The Weatherman turned and cringed at the sight of the hardcover book held out to him. He relaxed, however, once he noticed the wings attached to the being who’d picked up his contraband. This was obviously not a member of the Sheriff’s Secret Police. He took the book back and tucked into his jacket, this time double checking that it sat securely in the secret pocket.

“Thank you... Erika?” he said hesitantly. The figure before him was definitely an angel, but the Weatherman had never seen one quite so young looking.

What does it take for Basma to consider someone a friend?

OOC: That’s tricky! Basma doesn’t have a lot of friends because some people are just disposable to them. That said, if the person liked Basma but is willing to put their foot down on some of their more outlandish thoughts do get brownie points from them! But honestly? Basma just has to interact with them and get a feel for that person’s character or personality. It’s really hard to explain how to do it otherwise XD;;;;;
