I'm curious: Why specifically Quebecois French? I work with a bunch of Quebecers and one girl whose mother is from France and the difference (to this semi-fluent person taught by Acadians) is so, so noticeable.
there’s not really a reason beyond living on the same continent as quebec, so i’m way more likely to travel there than a lot of other countries. france french (if you will) wouldn’t help me with that.

hey honey! no, i am not writing jily fic, and i don’t see that changing at this point. i can’t say definitively because twice i’ve gone to different fandoms and come back, but i feel right now that this fandom is not one i want to write for. not in a bad way! just in a “i’ve been here since 2001 and it is a lot” kind of way. i’m really grateful that you’ve liked what i’ve written! AMOT is sort of a regret for me because i spent a lot of time creating that AU and then i lost interest in writing for the jily ship before i could get further in that fic, so i’m sorry it’s unfinished. thank you for asking ❤️
wikipedia says johnny weir didn't technically come out until after the olympics :/ (he came out in 2011) i agree that it's a nitpicky distinction though
wikipedia probably doesn’t mention the extraordinary discrimination johnny weir experienced prior to 2011. his sexuality wasn’t a secret, it was just never explicitly made public via press statement until then. something like that is really just splitting hairs.
